This is an unusual angle to take a photo of Taj Mahal! Fantastic photo. Was it taken from Yamuna River?

It was taken from the Agra Fort. Both the Taj and the Fort are on the same side of the river but after the Taj theΒ
river takes a sharp bend therefore there is a beautiful view of the Taj.

it was about twenty years ago I saw last time the Taj, it was beautiful at that time. I read that the condition of the building is not as good as before. Is that true?

There are some effects of pollution on the marbels causingΒ
some decolourisation. Otherwise the construction is strong
as before. Anyway, no damage is visible in neked eyes.
