"You're not a human!" She exclaimed, astonished. "You also got here through the vortex?"

The demon broke out in guffaws that echoed in the peacefulness of the park. He mockingly pointed at Deborah with his forefinger while more wine-coloured tears welled up from his eyes.

"You are such a fool!" He shouted; but then, he stopped laughing. "Wait a second, how does she know about the vortex? Is she related in any way to that sorcerer?"

The young girl wouldn't stop staring at him, persistent. She wasn't sure why that little unhealthy kid awoke such a boundless interest in her. She was also ignorant about the reason he was making fun of her, but not one bit bothered about it, she smiled again before coming not much closer.

"What's your name?"

One of the scenes I've drawn from my book! This one portraits the moment Deborah and Dämon met for the first time. Deborah is 10 years old here. This takes place before the real plot begins! Deborah is meant to have a gender-neutral appereance, I hope I got that right!
This is one of my oldest drawings (from 2012). I'm not sure I'll keep using this style for future illustrations, the only thing I know for sure is I want the style for the scenes to be more simple and easy to the eye – but maybe this is too anime-ish anyway. You can tell backgrounds weren't my strong point back then, haha! The background was made in Photoshop, which has never been my favourite program to paint... It's also true that I drew this in a rush, though, since it was for a school project...!
