I've read this story over and over again on AO3 and it's by far one of my favorite Hollow Knight fanfics that focuses on the Pale King and a 'What If..." scenario. The pictures added to the story really brings it all together! Excellent work

Speaking of which... Do you think every embrace of the Void happens like with Godseeker once you finish the Pantheon of Hallownest? You know, with crying literal darkness and stuff? 'Cause it may or may not give me an idea or two that I could try to execute.

Mhh... I think... sort of? I didn't think about this before, but actually the Godseeker is consumed from the inside and so everything happen and she gets killed, or this is what the game let us to believe... so probably it could be. But I also think that with a Higher Being the things could be different. In this case I imagined the body of an Higher Being being strong enough to don't be killed, but just consumed and turned "hollow".
