You may try playing with the screen resolution.
Not sure if that will help but it's the only
thing that comes to mind. Have the same version
as you and don't have any problems.
A belated 'thanks' for adding the Pictonary
to your tut's. (Been spending alot of time
working on some animations, trying to learn
a few things in Photoshop 7 and contending
with a new computer.) Hope you have some fun
with it.

Good to hear your problem is fixed. Don't
you jusr love Vista! With Windows 7 to be
released soon I wonder how long Vista will
be supportrd by Microsoft. Guess that will
cause a whole new set of problems to be worked
out.
How is Terragen2? Had the original Terragen
on the old pc but deleted it for the space
on the hard drive. Downloaded Chaos Pro
yesterday and played with the animations some.
It's ok but if the resolution is to big then you
get a funky result. That's something they need to
work on. Think the next program will have to be
Ultra Fractal. Seen some really nice fractals
done with it. I've seen many fractal programs but
not familiar with CSS. Or would that be an Adobe
doo-dah?
Candy...Toys... both are great and alot of fun!
Have fun!!

Vista, from what I have discovered so far, has it's own
little quirk's. Gotten use to several of them. Really
use to navigating around in Windows without any problem.
Spent all morning trying to get the latest version of
flam3 to work on the new pc. (Haven't had any problems
with the old pc.) Not sure if it's Vista, the flam3 program
or me being the problem. Looks as though it's time to do
some research. That or take the time to write my own script.
Glad to hear that you're not one of those "doo-dah" girls!
Nowadays it would be asking alot to keep up with a "do-dah"
girl. sigh...

Flam3 and Flam4 are programs that will
take a minimum of two APO flame files, morph's them,
and then creates an output
jpg files to be put together
for a final amimation video.
It's a nice change in doing
things but the thing to keep
in mind is that it does take
awhile to render everything.
- i.e. For a 5 flame list
and 1,000 jpg's (200 for
each flame) took abut
35 hours on the old pc.
They are open source and are
free. The flam3 works well
with the Windows XP while
Flam4 is suppose to work
with Windows Vista. The
flam4 has given me a few
problems though. Have the
program downloaded and
everything comes up fine.
When I try to run the
program it's asking for
the encoder. So, I need
to find the right codec's
for it to run correctly.
When I find them I'll let
you know. So far...AAARRRGGGG!
Been so long that I've
forgotten what a 'doo-dah'
girl even looks like. Just
as well since the wife
would recognize the look
and swat me on the back
of the head. Just a
thought... If a 'doo-dah'
girl and a 'doo-dah' guy
married and had offspring,
would the children be
'doo-duh's?

As that redneck comedian would say, "Now that's funny! I don't care
what anybody says." LMAO! Duh-duh's and doo-duh's! Thanks for giving
me a big chuckle this afternoon! I needed that.
That 35 hours was the total time for rendering. I spread that out
over several days. Divide it into several parts and let it run
at night. It's not so bad that way. Another nice result I've
gotten is using a rotational script that writes the output to a
folder. Nothing fancy but with an interesting fractal sometimes
the result can make a nice animation. And it takes less than an
hour for 200 jpg's. While that is running you can let it run in
the background and been doing something else.
Gotta run now. I hear the cookie monster. Need cookies. Have to
make cookies. Devour cookies. Repeat as often as necessay.
