Artificial Intelligence (A.I) Companion: T.O.O.L.K.I.T- A Hakkorian Servitor housed inside of a small, spherical drone with a plasma ball like effect surrounding it. T.O.O.L.K.I.T is Chris Flint's personal assistant that carries out any form of digital assistance he requires of him. T.O.O.L.K.I.T is able to phase in and out of the physical dimension and is stored in a technological pocket dimension linked to Flint's ship and armour. He manages control over Flint's ship- the Zenith and performs his job efficiently. T.O.O.L.K.I.T was originally Chris Flint’s ‘psychological support A.I’ when he was arrested and in Hakkorian custody prior to the trial of Sondo-7 and the Raiders, whom Flint testified against in court. Initially known only as 'Assistant', Flint renamed him T.O.O.L.K.I.T whilst imprisoned, and befriended the A.I, which was assigned to him to both monitor his psyche and keep him company for his long period of incarceration, as the Hakkorian courts held up the actual trial in favour of catching all the Raiders and convicting them all in the same trial. After being pardoned for testifying against the pirates, Flint stole T.O.O.L.K.I.T and had him taken to an engineer to reprogram him, redesign him and give him his own personal flair. T.O.O.L.K.I.T was also able to embrace a personality of his own- unfortunately, it took the personality of a rather rampant, unhinged individual not unlike Chris Flint, though notably much more sociopathic.

Vehicles/Mounts: The Zenith- A Highly Modified and Customised Qabel Shipyards LNO-Class Cutter Starship given to Flint when he was part of the Raiders, a group of Space Pirates that Flint used to be a member of. The ship, in keeping with Raider tradition of naming ships after lovers and/or requited and unrequited recipients of romantic affections, is named after his childhood sweetheart- Amelia Zenith. The Zenith is a raggedy, smelly, filthy ship, which makes sense considering it's owned and operated by Chris Flint, and has parts from at least seven different black markets. It has numerous unpaid fines, the subscription to the entertainment system on board expired and is yet to be renewed, its slipspace drive is overclocked to dangerous levels and desperately requires maintenance (or more accurately, replacement) and there's probably a class-two biohazard worming its way through the plumbing. It's a wonder how the thing hasn't fallen apart yet, and even more that it's still a capable dogfighter. It also features a Vyrant Telecom Advanced Multi-Medium Music Player that can play vinyl records, cassettes, discs, data chips and wirelessly-synced music too. The Zenith's weapons are standard issue- for the Raiders space pirates, meaning it sports numerous illegal and cleverly concealed modified weapons, as well as scan-resistant compartments for them to fold into and for illegal contraband to be stored alongside. Chris' quarters aboard the ship are so unclean he keeps a separate room for when he invites a lady friend over. The entire vehicle is decorated with posters and merchandise from all Chris' favourite pieces of media, and on his fridge is a picture of a Hakkorian Olken/Trads 7-44 Sports Mobile, a car he describes as 'gorgeous' and hopes to, but probably never will be able to afford. Finally, Flint has sounds programmed into parts of the ship that make it sound like a Reclaimer Human muscle car, especially when its thrusters are suddenly activated, though these sounds overlap with the sound the thrusters make on their own, leading to a confusing and irritating noise whenever he's in town; 'Surf’s Up'- A Tarvis-Tercel Smartmatter hoverboard; ‘Rad Rider’- A C-54 Duronco T. Hoverbike purchased on Claudaxia whilst Flint was still a member of the Raiders, the Rad Rider is fitted with dual laser pulse guns, a homing Tesla grenade dispenser and miniature blinder-array launcher and a gravity wrench and can be materialised from his ship whilst on the ground and rematerialised back to the ship via a pocket dimension delivery system.
Voice: A cocksure, boyish and immature voice of a guy who is probably a wannabe rockstar in his 30s and doesn't act his age. At all.

Weapons:
'Funk and Soul'- Two Type-640 Jancient Craftsmen San'Shyuum Multi-Purpose Particle Tri-Burst Blasters that can switch between several types of elemental damage. Funk and Soul can switch between Void implosion shots- when the guns have purple lights, Solar blasts- when the guns have orange lights and Electric Arc bolts- when the guns have blue lights. Flint has mastered the use of Funk and Soul and is an expert gunslinger with the two. They can also be combined by locking one of the guns behind the other, which causes nanotech in the weapons to form a connection which builds a larger weapon out of the two of them. This “Command Rifle” as Flint calls it, is an assault rifle with the element-switching abilities of the two former guns, but its shots can ricochet off surfaces and even be directed by Flint using his mental interface. The gun also serves as a tactical coordination system which can track and alert Flint of particularly dangerous hazards on the battlefield and where to look out for them, and can even remotely take control of other weapons in the area, whether his or not, that feature computer systems and use them simply by aiming the Command Rifle and firing it at a target.
'Hot Rods'- Two Wrist-Mounted Triple-Barrelled Photon Laser Blasters shaped similarly to sidepipes on cars
Standard Issue Transphasic Antimatter Pulse Rifle
'Calypso'- An Experimental Xenagos J-99 Radiation Disbursement Gun that fires adhesive globs of radioactive protoplasm that detonate when triggered by nearby heat

Personality: Arrogant, rash, headstrong and believes his own press, call him Solar Saint or The Legendary Outlaw, or the Saint of Stars if you're feeling especially formal; he's got a good heart, but you might need to tread carefully to find it. Chris Flint’s larger-than-life, cocksure personality hides an earnest desire to favourably compare with famed examples of leadership and heroism. Solar Saint is also privately insecure that he cannot measure up with those to whom these qualities come more naturally, which often publicly manifests in a rebellious disdain for any authority not his own. Leadership is something Flint feels he's been destined for, although he's not always certain how to properly wear that hat. He tends to make snap judgments based on ego and relies on others to soften the consequences of his numerous and costly mistakes.
However, his unfailing ability to inspire loyalty is his greatest asset and many of his peers see a special "something" in Solar Saint that is undeniable. Under his captaincy of the Defenders of Infinity, a group of misfits, misanthropes, and also-rans eventually bonded as a family, which is perhaps the greatest testament to the noble and well-meaning core of Chris' being.
Chris Flint is a massive superfan of all the popular culture his mother introduced him to. Just as much as he is obsessed with the culture he was raised on, he is also obsessed with being known as the greatest pilot and outlaw in the galaxy, but looking at his competition, its not like he's going to get that wish fulfilled anytime soon. He is also naturally upbeat and sarcastic and is known for looking on the bright side. It seems that the pop culture he continues to reference has had a clear influence on his own personality.
Perhaps the greatest example of Flint's attachment to the culture he was raised on is his Vyrant TrackDeck- a musical device his mother gifted him. In relation to the extreme tier-2 and 1 societies he interacts with, this primitive relic has held up remarkably well considering all its been through- confiscations, explosions, the Milky Way-Andromeda War, and extreme overuse. As many across the galaxy have noticed, the use of this low-tech device appears to also have a considerable positive impact on his combat prowess, though there is no scientific justification.
Chris Flint doesn’t seem to have heard of acting his age, and his emotional development seems stunted at best. This is likely because his childhood was cut short at the age of 9, but not because he was abducted by ONI to become a Spartan no, because he was abducted by the Raiders Space Pirates to become a member of their crew. This loss of time that should’ve been spent being a kid and living as a carefree young soul manifests in very childish, immature behaviour as an adult, which makes up the brunt of Chris Flint’s outward personality. He rarely owes up to his mistakes, and his promiscuity has led him into near-death experiences with numerous women. Chris also loves "cool" and "awesome" things, and tries to comes across as such; however, he is oftentimes clumsy and his piloting skills, according to his teammates, leave a lot to be desired.
Despite his troubled past, Flint remains a mostly positive person, such as assuming the better of people’s words and generally looking on the bright side of things, though doesn't mean he is unaffected. Being a conman and outlaw, he is well aware of the complexities of life, and secretly harbours extreme fear at every moment, believing he is ‘making it up’ as he goes through life.
Even though Flint has a clear predilection toward crime, currently, the Hakkorian Office of Legal Affairs acknowledges his bravery in testifying against the other members of the Raiders, and although he immediately reoffended after being pardoned, the Office speculates that Chris can still be rehabilitated with a failure margin of 29.82%.
Christopher Harold Flint was born in the town of Gladsheim on the Human colony of Harvest in 2516. As a child, Flint lived with his single mother Amanda Flint on a small, but highly profitable wheat farm built by Chris' grandparents during the first wave of Harvest's colonisation. Flint never knew his father, but Amanda told him that 'Harold' from whom Chris' middle name was sourced, was a being from 'beyond'. As such, she was seemingly convinced that he was an alien and engaged with numerous UFO conspiracy theorists in her hometown and on The Waypoint. Chris and Amanda spent lots of time watching T.V shows and movies and listening to the music Amanda liked whenever she wasn't working. Amanda absolutely loved her son and Chris absolutely loved his mother.
Amanda owned a restored red and yellow 1977 Pontiac Firebird in pristine condition, all class, afforded through means entirely unknown. Though she had previously hidden it from her son due to it being a sports car, she decided to use it once he became interested in sports cars. The young Chris loved the car very much and always wanted to drive it, and hoped he'd one day own the car himself.
Flint liked everything from Klad Rocks to Star Wars, Knight Rider to Marvel Comics, Mombasa Vice to The C-Team, Johnny Tenders to Gloria Estefan, from Dungeons and Dragons to The Spinners. He also had a crush on the Dance Pop star Aaliya Vette, but what he was most in love with was a little known T.V show called Starknights, of which the main character was his favourite character of all in popular culture- Solar-Saint. To Chris, the Solar-Saint character, leader of an intergalactic team of warriors and heroes called the Starknights, was a figure he related to heavily, drew much inspiration from, and wanted to be like when he was older. He was so convinced of the connection between him and the character that he was certain that the character’s actor, Jason Nielsen, was his Dad, and told himself that he’d meet the man eventually.
Another highly influential piece of media was the NeoGlam Rock band Defenders of Infinity, which he first overheard his older cousin Dwight listening to in his car, and fell in love with them ever since. The band styled themselves as renegade space outlaws, travelling the Galaxy, adventuring and doing ‘really cool stuff’. When Flint learned that the Defenders were working on a feature song for Starknights season 7, he almost squealed at his grandparents’ house. Then he actually did squeal.
When he played Dungeons and Dragons with his friends at his house, Chris cycled through numerous different classes- at first playing as a bard, then a rogue, but eventually settling on the role of hexblade warlock, though he quickly altered again to a Tiefling warlock fiend named Zalduis the Trickster, which he would play as for the rest of his tenure as a DnD player.
The absolute favourite pastime of Chris and Amanda Flint was taking a drive out to the mountains on weekend nights and stargazing. There, they’d spend hours listening to Amanda's playlist of all the music the two loved, and pointing out shooting stars and constellations. One Christmas, Amanda gifted her son with a Vyrant TrackDeck- a handheld music player and portable 'D.J Mixer', though Flint rarely used the mixer function. Amanda also sprung for a full playlist of all their favourite songs, and he took the TrackDeck to school to listen to the music on it.
Chris often got into fights with Bryce Anders- his school bully who tormented him for years. One day, Flint punched Anders after he broke his TrackDeck. Amanda, despite understanding his position, told Flint that if he let Bryce get to him like that, then there'd be noting to stop Chris from being just like him in the future, so she told him to apologise to Bryce, even if he wouldn't. Reluctantly, Flint promised that he would. In order to find an avenue in which to interact with other young people without Bryce there to bully him- and joined the local children's Scouts, earning several badges on camp.
At the age of seven, Chris developed a crush on the daughter of Amanda Flint's friend Karin- Amelia Zenith. When the Zeniths would visit the Flints, Chris ran with Amelia through the wheat fields in the evening whilst sharing his playlist with her. Amanda took Chris and Amelia to amusement parks and the local UNSC space museum, where Chris and Amelia developed a love for the wonders of space and decided that they wanted to become UNSC explorers when they grew up. Chris was totally thrilled by the idea of aliens, and lamented that the ones at the parks weren’t real. He wanted to meet the real aliens. One day.
One summer, Chris’ grandpa Max Flint began taking him out for fishing trips on Lake Njörðr, where Max taught Chris how to use a fishing rod. He was bored most of the time, unhappy with the fact Max wouldn’t let him listen to his music, however he did catch a big green tuna, which Max was proud of him for. After their fishing trips, they’d go back to Max’s home, where Amanda would be waiting with Grandma Louise, and cook the fish they caught on Max’s grill and eat them, grinding premium Alpha Corvi Black Reef Salt on them to enhance the flavour.
On his ninth birthday, Flint received three gifts from his mother- a new Vyrant TrackDeck, a gaming pad and the latest Solar-Saint action figure, but by then he started to notice a change in his mother's demeanour for the worse. She was now seemingly much more wild and conspiratorial than she had ever been before, constantly raving about Chris' father and her son's hybrid genealogy, to the point where she even went on deluded psych-trips around family and friends. The only thing that kept these episodes away were a set of pills Chris would sometimes have to sneak into her food and drink.
2 months later, Amanda agreed that she would take Chris to see Defenders of Infinity live, and began planning a trip to Arcadia, where they'd stop on their Outer Colonies tour. However, whilst getting ready for the trip by closing their barn, Amanda stood still and silent for a full five minutes, not moving a muscle or even blinking. Flint brought her back into the house, but she then suddenly collapsed. He called his grandparents and they brought him and Amanda to the hospital, but the doctors pronounced her dead- she had apparently suffered a brain aneurysm, and there was nothing they could do. Before Grandpa Max could even hug Chris, the boy ran out of the hospital, then broke down into tears in the car park for hours upon hours and cried himself to sleep when he was taken home.
Two weeks later he, his 19 year old cousin Dwight and Amelia Zenith drove out to the mountains to go stargazing in memory of Amanda Flint on the eve of her funeral. Just a few days before, an alien starship had appeared over Harvest and the government had been organising a delegation with the extraterrestrial visitors, a fact that would’ve endlessly excited Chris, and Dwight tried to bring it up, but by this point he was too miserable to care.
After his attempt to cheer him up failed, Dwight reasoned with Chris's feelings of terrible pain and Amelia tried her best to support him. He opened up at last by sharing his mother’s last playlist with them, but did not play with any of the other gifts his mother gave him on his 9th birthday, as he attributed so much of his pain to them. Dwight said that they should be getting back to his grandpa soon, but he allowed Flint to have a few minutes alone just to think whilst he waited in the car with Amelia. Chris climbed the tree which he had climbed with his mother before and looked out to the lake and watched the moonlight shimmer in it.
As he reflected, he heard a noise sounding alot like a spaceship behind him, presumably having come from the larger starship above, and out emerged a tall, humanoid robot suspiciously dressed like one of the outlaws in Starknights. The robot abducted Flint, taking him in his ship kicking and screaming. Aboard the ship, Flint wondered what would become of his cousin and Amelia, but it seemed all they wanted was him. The robot then looked as if he was adjusting a dial somewhere, and when he was complete, he introduced himself as Sondo-7, the Ace of Pockets and Captain of the Hodonva Clan of Raiders Space Pirates. Sondo-7 was an outlaw and former member of the leather-skinned Quonleeg species who had his mind transferred to the body of a ‘Cognidroid’ and his crew explained that they were taking Flint into their crew because they had learned tale about a boy who would save the galaxy, but in order for that to happen, they would need to bring him aboard. Once they had fooled him into thinking that he was some sort of foretold superhero, Chris asked if the Raiders were from the ship above, that ship in question belonging to The Covenant- the alien hegemony Humanity had made first contact with. Sondo said that he and the Raiders had no relation to the Covenant, and said they were 'bad guys' who were looking for Flint because of this prophecy and that he couldn't let them get ahold of him. Chris was then allowed to return to the Flint farm in Gladsheim one last time to take with him all the personal belongings he wanted. Immediately after he finished packing, one of his crewmates updated him by saying that the Covenant had just opened fire on the Humans at the delegation and were outright attacking the Human colony. Sondo considered telling the boy, but instead, Sondo merely told Chris that he was sorry about his mother's death. Flint told the Cognidroid not to worry, because the future he now had with the Hodonva Clan was bound to be much brighter than the future he had waiting for him on Harvest.
For the next 20 years, Chris Flint would be a swabbie and petty thief for the vagabond Raiders, and quickly realised that if there was a prophecy about him, the Raiders clearly didn't care. Sondo had told him that they were preparing him to fulfil his prophecy, even reciting a fake excerpt detailing that "a great thief from the harvesting world raised by scum" would lead the galaxy in a triumphant battle against a great force of evil. Sondo reasoned that he had already taken him from 'the harvesting world', now all there was left to do was make him a great thief, and he and the Raiders were just the scum to do it. For a time, that was enough to keep Flint squarely affiliated with the Raiders, but as time went on, it became more and more flimsy of a reason in Chris' head. His first duties as a Raider was to open a locked cache of Forerunner technology that the Raiders had recovered, which they needed Flint for since he was a Reclaimer Human and not a mere Hakkorian Human without the geas programmed eons ago by the Forerunners. For his entire career as a Raider, he'd be used to activate or open any Forerunner tech that proved too difficult for other members to crack, and Flint was sold on this being part of the prophecy, and that it meant he was the only one who could activate this kind of tech in the galaxy with such ease.
Sometime down the line however, Sondo-7 had to rely on threatening to feed the boy's limbs to the other crewmates to keep him in line, telling him the prophecy didn't say anything about him being 100% Human. The prophecy, did however make Chris tell Sondo that his mother believed his father was an alien, and he asked if all this meant it was true. Sondo responded that he wouldn't rule it out, but he didn't know for sure. Though he sounded particularly uneasy about his answer, as if he knew more than he was letting on.
As a young interstellar criminal operating outside the Orion Arm, away from the Human-Covenant War which had just begun unbeknownst to him, Flint was trained in several underhanded enterprises. First, he was sent out as a beggar, using his young appearance to get handouts across different planets the Hodonva Clan visited. When he was older, Chris learned how to pickpocket by first practicing on fellow Hodonva clan members, and then being sent out into the streets. During this time, Flint was befriended by Arrubaa, a Waxumai who was serving as a cook aboard the Hodonva clan capital ship- the Bakkala. It was from her that Flint learned the art of scamming, and Chris would go on to participate in numerous cons and illegal activities under her direction, including participating in a charity scam on Veknis 9 and selling broken robots as if they worked on Baryum.
One day, Sondo returned from the Orion Arm with a book about famous Human outlaws throughout history- which Chris read everyday, becoming inspired by it. Chris' education was spotty, like that of the other Raiders, as most were also children when they first got into crime or were born into the Raiders, and thus most had only ever received an elementary education from the Bakkala's A.I. However, Sondo-7 saw that educating his men and women would ultimately lead to a more powerful and cunning clan, so with Arrubaa's help, Chris was lucky enough to pick up knowledge of mathematics, physics, and galactic history by reading in his spare time- something he was capable of doing to greater effect than other Raiders as he was taught in school before leaving Harvest.
However, as the Raiders still valued combat and pilot experience and the art of thievery over true education, more and more of Chris' time was devoted to being trained to use a gun, fly a ship and handle himself in a fight. Whilst he learned no true martial arts and by no means mastered any, he did learn enough handy techniques to hold his own against a skilled warrior, for long enough at least to let his weapons and clever Raider gadgets pick up the slack. As a pilot, Flint's understanding of physics helped him become one of the Hodonva clan's greatest dogfighters and getaway fliers, as he practiced with Sondo's own ship- the Runedo, the same ship Flint was taken from Harvest in.
However, in spite of what he brought to the clan already at his young age, the Raiders often played cruel pranks on Chris. On his 10th birthday, a day on which he seriously missed his mother and was emotionally distraught as it had been nearly a year since he left home, the crew wrapped a present for him neatly, and when he opened it, it turned out to be an adhesive powder bomb, which blew up in his face. Sondo used it as an opportunity to teach Chris that in their line of work, nobody gets anything just for being alive- the universe sure wouldn't, so neither would the Raiders. On his 12th, Chris was fooled into entering an empty room with a laser training drone that attacked his feet, slowly melting his boots, and he was forced to steal new ones on their next planetary stop. On his 15th, two Raiders, the bullish, cruel and heartless Jiralhanae Spikeye and the Miralezan Wretchidd, tried to smash Flint's Vyrant TrackDeck, having grown sick of him syncing it with the Bakkala's sound system to play his 'crappy Reclaimer music' whilst dancing down the hallways, but Flint fiercely defended it with his life, and although Sondo barked at his men to stop and even threatened to use his Hakkorian Psy-Arrows to torture them, Flint earned Spikeye's respect for his courage, though he'd never admit it.
Flint's years as the Raider's punching bag and young thief would mould him into the expert criminal he would become in the future, and even though he had lied to him about his intentions for abducting him and about what the Raiders intended to do with him, Sondo-7 formed an unexpected fatherly attachment to Chris, and over his rebellious teenage years Sondo grew increasingly lenient with him when he caused trouble. In order to 'bond', Sondo and Flint both took a trip to Hakkor during Unity Day, a holiday celebrated all across the Hakkorian Empire, and spent the entire time sabotaging celebrations and playing pranks on the citizenry. They snuck into several stores and used nanobots to lace the fireworks with Pseudojkaronizine, a Raider-developed chemical compound that, when ignited into a gas, smelled so mortfyingly bad that it could disrupt a highly trained warrior's ability to fight and could induce tears in those who were in its vicinity. They even managed to do the same to the local government's Unity Day firework supply. Whilst waiting for the launching of the fireworks at night, they spent hours getting up to all sorts of shenanigans- Chris and Sondo graffitied a public viewscreen with smart-paint that rearranged itself to cover the faces of newscasters, public figures and so on in smiley faces, they hacked into several holographic displays of Morale Premier and Lord of Admirals Visani Nazareth and gave her a moustache and unibrow, and put thick Tenebrae insta-hair dye into a public water fountain...then froze the fountain in cryo. When the fireworks were fired at the end of the night, the smell that enveloped around entire population centres across the planet was so awful that the Military Police Corps was called to issue special masks to citizens, and a visiting Uclionian representative considered it such an offence that the Lord of Diplomancers Almanis Garrotai had to make up for it with a greatly expensive feast to appease him. Though they were never discovered, Chris and Sondo were made well aware that if they were, they'd be banned from Hakkor every year during Unity Day, or any other celebration forever. After that, numerous outlets switched from regular fireworks to intricate hard-light alternatives, purely to avoid this ever happening again.
Sondo also once took Chris down to the remote Jumgovi Desert on the Xenagos homeworld Xena Ka to set up a Raider hideout and armoury that members of the clan could retreat to if downed in the sector. Flint built half the traps in the place, as well as a 'keyboard-floor' system that rendered it so the only way to bypass said traps was to know which parts of the floor to step on at which times, patterning the code after the beat of the first 24 seconds of I Feel the Earth Move by Carole King.
At the age of 16, Flint was trusted to lead his first armed robbery- the Raiders were on the Xoviss homeworld Xovari, trading rum at the Bahalisia Port when Chris and a team of Raiders broke into the affluent town's mayor's home, using one of the Raiders' own Xoviss members to use her inherent neurophysical powers to crash the security systems and keep the mayor's own powers at bay by locking her in her own neurphysical stasis room. Although Xoviss authorities came quickly, Chris and his team managed to fend them off with their guns well and made off with 25K Xoviss Riyals worth of personal belongings, which the clan traded in small amounts on numerous auction houses across the Sangheili Commonwealth. It was after this crime that the Hakkorian Eclipse Corps took notice of Chris Flint and began to put together a file on him, which would grow exponentially. The success of the robbery earned Flint his own ship- an LNO-Class Cutter which Flint named, in keeping with Raider tradition of naming ships after a lover or a subject of romantic affections, whether requited or unrequited, The Zenith- after Amelia Zenith. He considered naming it The Vette, after Aaliya Vette, but felt that one day he might return to Harvest when he was ready and reunite with Amelia.
When the Milky Way-Andromeda War started between an alliance including the Hakkorian Empire, Xoviss Ascendancy and Interstellar Combine vs the Xeptosson Pan-Galactic Co-Prosperity Sphere, The Exet Union and some support from the Confederacy of Mars, the Raiders saw an opportunity to make money during the conflict- as the Xeptossons were attempting to steamroll numerous worlds to induct them into their sphere of influence by force and the Hakkorians, Xoviss and Combine were having none of it, their extremely high tech began to flood into the Milky Way, and the Hodonva Clan stole cargo from them and the Hakkorians after the latter had won battles and was performing cleanup and confiscation. Flint and Sondo were eventually captured however by Xeptossons, and that was when Chris learned of Sondo's intense hatred towards the Sphere for enslaving him many years ago and leading him down the path that turned him into a soldier and later a Cognidroid. Whilst languishing in a Xeptosson space-brig, Sondo translated the words of other captors and the guards for Flint, whose translation implant was broken, though he had to pay Sondo by giving him some of his rations. They were later broken out in a move masterfully coordinated by Sondo-7 on the inside who managed to communicate with Val 'Gar'um, a friend in the House of En'juma- a Clan of Sangheili pirates.
As revenge for their treatment in the brig, Sondo-7 marshalled the Hodonva Clan in a massive effort to rush the Sphere colony of Sumerej on the borders of the Milky Way. Flint even illegally downloaded a Posthuman battle strategy program he acquired through a cyberpath contact in the Posthuman Fiefdom, which both led the Raiders to victory and taught Flint the horrors that the Posthuman Fiefdom was willing to subject its enemies to. He would later find himself ashamed of the level of slaughter he took part in, especially because few that the Raiders killed were actually Xeptossons and most were members of their indentured servant races. Their strike did however allow a joint Hakkorian-Combine fleet to move into Sushgaunt Pass, and when the Raiders travelled there to refuel, the Combine was glad to provide them great bounty for what they had done, though the Hakkorians wanted to arrest them for their interference, the Combine ultimately dictated the terms of the campaign. There, Chris met the Hakkorian Naval Crew Centurion Zoleri Kam-Davereth, who empathised with his guilt and said that what the Raiders were doing to him was horrific and he was lied to about this so-called 'prophecy'. Chris grimly remarked that he knew, but he couldn't stop: he had nothing else to live for and was done starting over. He nearly turned himself in to her for possession of a classified, illegal program, but instead backtracked and ran away from the guilt by making sexual advances, which she reciprocated, none the wiser to how the Raiders pulled off their attack.
Later in the war, the Raiders sold their services to the Tenebrae, who were trying to gather samples of the beasts used by the Exet so their Dark Alchemist Aurash Order could experiment on them and produce even more horrific monstrosities of science and dark physics. This was the first time Chris wore a uniform since being taken to a preppy private school for a day that his mother's friend Mrs. Chen invited Flint to. He found the uniform the Tenebrae had him wear was flattering, but far too tight and unwieldy to reach his weapons. The commanding Tenebrae Officer Nala-Hom provided him two Tenebrae SMGs with Tanithium-jacketed rounds that he could wear using slings that enabled them to be drawn with ease, despite their bulky size. The Raiders succeeded in delivering the beasts to the Tenebrae, but didn't get paid the promised amount, and the Dark Alchemist Liege Calu-Zha threatened to slaughter them all if they dared take vengeance for this.
As the Hodonva Clan began to split up to tackle different opportunities for treasure across the war, Chris earned his keep doing a variety of unsavoury jobs. He once joined a ship-stealing job led by the Tmranese cutthroats Onxol and Juala. He stole jetbikes right off the Claudaxian Grand Circuit, and made an enemy out of a Claudaxian racer for sleeping with his girlfriend. In the final two years of the war, Flint was sentenced to fight on the Miamoran penal-colony world of Eiulus for cheating at cards, a felony there. He was matched against three other fighters much larger than himself, Flint somehow managed to defeat the other combatants in unarmed combat, suffering numerous broken bones. He managed to escape after seducing a Miamoran guard who helped him offworld.
After the Xeptossons withdrew and agreed not to use force to expand its sphere further into the Milky Way, the Exet were left alone, leading them to try to draw the Confederacy of Mars fully into the war, but the Martian government refused. The Exet found themselves alone and quickly retreated. During this time, Chris received a commendation from the Interstellar Combine, but he never claimed it.
His chat with Zoleri had convinced him to stand up to Sondo-7, and he confronted him by demanding to know why he was really taken from Harvest all those years ago and what the Covenant was doing there, knowing that the prophecy was made up. Sondo's answer was still hardly the truth, but Flint was convinced it was since it reflected his nature rather well. Sondo reminded Chris of the cache of Forerunner technology the Raiders had Flint open in his earliest days in the crew, and said that the clan needed a Reclaimer Human- being a Human with the genetic capabilities to open and operate their most advanced tech the Forerunners had programmed into Humans after reseeding them on Earth. Sure, the Raiders had hundreds of Hakkorian Humans, but none were Reclaimers like Flint. The cache he helped the Raiders open sold for over 2 million Galactic Novars on the market, and Sondo figured he'd keep Flint around for the activation of any Forerunner tech in future.
Finally provided an answer that at least sounded accurate, Chris was ready to leave the Raiders in order to start his own solo outlaw career. He made plans to turn against them, and waited until the Hodonva Clan's next big job to do it. This was a complicated, long con that the Raiders were going to pull on the Krayeshi Enterprise- a powerful interstellar shipping and travel corporation. A group, led by Sondo, went undercover as Krayeshi employees, with Flint even given a false identity as a Hakkorian immigrant settling down with his "wife", a role played by the Anleurian Raider Narriha Gehan. Both he and Sondo were on the space cruise liner Styjero working as waiters on its maiden voyage, during which Sondo was going to hatch a plan to redirect its course into a Raider trap under the guise of there being unexpected gravitational anomalies, which would be caused by Forerunner devices in the hands of the Raiders, then once the ship fell onto the trap, the rest of the clan would collapse the ship's systems, totally tear up its security detail and then allow those undercover on the ship to have easy pickings of the wealthy clientele's belongings.
As the ship began to welcome its guests aboard, Chris, whilst in touch with Krayeshi security, hatched the sting operation. But in order to not cause a fuss among the guests and endanger the legacy of the new ship, the op had to be done discreetly. Whilst serving in the Nububao restaurant with Sondo two days into the voyage, Flint made his move. Having collected recorded chatter from his fellow Raiders, the Krayeshi security forces knew where the Raiders were hiding their gear on the ship and moved to seize it. When the ship ventured into the trap as planned, everyone working on the ship as part of the job was quietly pulled off their shift early, and allowed to return to their cabins. Instead, they all moved to the hideout to gear up, only to be arrested in the scene. When Sondo arrived and saw Flint, he demanded to know what the meaning of it all was, but it was undeniable- Chris had sold Sondo and the Raiders out to the Krayeshi Enterprise for money, and betrayed the Hodonva Clan. The order Sondo would've given for the pirate ship to attack the cruise never came, and the heist was aborted.
Flint was paid well for rooting out the Raiders, and although the Bakkala had left to escape the Krayeshi authorities, Flint had already cleared out all of his belongings from the ship in preparation and based them in the Raider hideout he built on Xena Ka, where he recollected himself and loaded up all his stuff on The Zenith. From that day on, Flint concluded that although he was now free from the Raiders' lies about his place in the universe, he decided that he had ultimately spent too long away from home and that he was no longer really a Human, not in the way normal Humanity would've understood it, and he couldn't bear the thought of returning to where he watched his mother die...completely oblivious to the fact that Harvest was laid waste to by the Covenant Hegemony. As such, he instead set out to find his destiny in the stars as a legendary outlaw named "Solar-Saint", named after his favourite T.V show character. He purchased a set of demilitarised Hakkorian Pursuer armour and had it customised to resemble in part what Solar-Saint's appearance was in season 4 of Starknights, in which his helmet incorporated a crown-like aesthetic nearing the top.
(Everything that you are about to read after this takes place a little further into the future than where I currently tell the Haloverse's stories from the perspective of, which would be the mid to late 2550s)
Chris intended for his career as the Solar-Saint to be his new start, a life where he'd get to live as his favourite fictional character as a fiendish intergalactic rogue, but in reality it was an attempt on his part to run further away from his past. He got his start by taking a few small time smuggling jobs off of Claudaxia, and putting his Raider skills to use by...raiding ships across space. He also picked up bounties, and (tried to) deliver most of his charges alive, though they rarely gave him the choice to. He frequently worked for the small time fixer known as Grams, an elderly Anleurian woman, as well as the Sangheili crime boss Nurass 'Chal, who provided Flint excellent upgrades to The Zenith. He once smuggled about 200 units of refined Malerium, normally used as fuel in fusion reactions, but also ingested as a narcotic by Vanrezhans, Cognidroids and other androids/individuals who had made extensive cybernetic conversions for its ability to induce powerful highs in non-biological individuals. He also ran a shipment of highly illegal Exet Union guns and pod missiles across a Xoviss blockade, evaded a Tenebrae Imperial Obscuration Ordainment agent who attempted to stop him from exposing a critical weakness in the Empire's defenses in the Buredram system, and squared off in a gun duel with Fhrak Kuk'zen, a Kig-Yar outlaw who he managed to kill. And he did it all whilst skilfully avoiding vengeful Raiders. He also single-handedly (although with the support of some droids he rented) robbed the Bank of Ikelis, though a news report would claim it was 'petty theft', to Chris' annoyance.
However, Flint, being terrible at managing his own finances, always ended up broke again after a visit to the local space station, or to a casino moon, or after damaging the Zenith to the point of needing full maintenance, often for ridiculous fees. In order to offset this, he pickpocketed and robbed on nearly every planet he stopped on, and conned almost every woman he met and seduced. On New Faun, he was hired by a San'Shyuum Duchess to retrieve her expensive pet Oloru Monkey, and after he spent the night with her, he skipped out on her with his satchel filled with her jewellery. On Tantilus LX, he was dating a Tenebrae bartender who caught him chatting up a Xenagos who worked in the records of the Interstellar Combine, as he was trying to claim his war commendation. Both then teamed up to lay down the hurt on him. He had a one night stand with an Anluerian model, seduced an Oshamoo diver, got into a particularly raunchy relationship with a fortune-teller and magician on Huris-Mda, had drinks bought for him by a Sangheili explorer he later slept with, had sexual relations with a Vanrezhan mercenary who assassinated a target before Flint could capture them, and drained the bank account (and totally ruined the credit) of a Hakkorian businesswoman, who eventually sued him. He later 'regretfully' entered a relationship with the Waxumai Ichavul, after telling her he was a prince and was friends with the exiled Emperor-Chieftain of the Interstellar Combine, Urugundom. Flint would later recall massaging Ichavul's tusks whilst in a large bath as a 'traumatising' experience. He also drank alot, feeling lonely after he had left the Raiders, and was arrested for public intoxication (and indecency) at least thrice, one of these times by Hakkorian Eclipse Corpsman Janoh Solazhal, who mocked the 'Solar-Saint' moniker, calling him 'Solar-Stooge' and found Chris' belief in himself as some sort of holo-movie main character laughable.
Whilst raiding a derelict space station for spare parts, Solar-Saint was apprehended by the Eclipse Corps, who brought him to Hakkor. Zoleri Kam-Davereth, who had initially sparked his rebellion against Sondo, was brought in to inform Flint that the Corps had Sondo and a large portion of the Hodonva Clan delivered to them by the Krayeshi Enterprise in custody an dead to rights, but still their operations were going on all across the galaxy and the courts needed someone from the inside to give up proof of what they had done in the build up to the heist. She told him that the Office of Legal Affairs was willing to offer Chris a full pardon for his entire criminal record if he testified in court and gave up the names of the other Hodonva Raiders who were yet to be captured. Chris, believing this would finally be his ticket to getting off the charges he had accrued as a Raider, agreed to testify and spent weeks in Hakkorian custody when he was not in court under house arrest in a small apartment with a "psychological support servitor' initially known only as 'Assistant', which was assigned to him to both monitor his psyche and keep him company for his long period of incarceration, as the Hakkorian courts held up the trial of Sondo-7 in favour of catching all the Raiders and convicting them all in the same trial. Seeing the name as too 'dry', Flint renamed the servitor "T.O.O.L.K.I.T" and befriended the A.I.
After being pardoned for testifying against the pirates, Flint swore to Zoleri that he'd turn over a new leaf...except he immediately reoffended by stealing T.O.O.L.K.I.T and having him taken to an engineer to reprogram him, redesign him and give him his own personal flair, although as a result of its reprogramming and the time it spent with Chris led it to take the personality of a rather rampant, unhinged individual not unlike him, though incredibly more sociopathic. The Office of Legal Affairs added the charge to his record but did not believe it would be necessary to pursue him for it, but kept him under surveillance. Still, it was enough to convince Zoleri at least that Flint wasn't worth trying to rekindle a relationship with and that he'd never truly change. Because of his betrayal, Sondo-7 placed a bounty on Chris Flint's head from inside of prison for 75,000 Novars.
Now, Solar-Saint continues trying to make a name for himself as an interstellar freebooter, outlaw, gunslinger, hot alien ladiesman, expert pilot and thief. Truly, Chris Flint is living the life of his favourite character. He may be a criminal sure, but in his heart, there is an honest, loving soul pulsing within him, and hopefully, his values won't leave him. Or at least, hopefully his name catches on.
A couple months after the bounty was placed on his head, Flint was targeted as a potential addition the the team being assembled by the Yanme'e crimelord known as The Scofflaw and Xoraxis Jnudan , a former Zignauli Annexer (General) and politician who had turned against the Obsidian Warlord Taniox and his Obsidian Dominion's goal of culling universal populations because he believed it was tarnishing the reputation of the Zignauli species, which is part of the Dominion. Xoraxis wants to collect seven objects originating from Precursor dark magic known as the Dread Stones- objects Taniox himself is after to defeat the Warlord.
Little does he know, Chris may have already tracked down the Dread Stone of Power to a temple on the barren moon Noradd, rumoured to be a former Precursor world, only Chris has gone through a different party to acquire it- the San'Shyuum Lakish Vord of the Elite Society of High-End Auctioneers, who claims that the artefact on Noradd is a 'Fossilised Precursor Egg'- functionally useless- unless perhaps, Flint finds a reason to crack it open...

(Here you have it folks, Solar-Saint revisioned with a whole new everything! Except his image because I never had a reason to change the way he looks, since I think this drawing from back in 2019 is awesome. I did make one slight change this time however by depicting him with the guns 'Funk and Soul' in the Solar configuration as opposed to the 'plasma' configuration they were in on his original version. This isn't actually a change I made now, and I actually had images of him with all three elements since before I posted him, and I guess I just settled on posting the purple plasma one. The third one, being blue and to do with arc electricity, is also in my photos. I might make a post of Solar-Saint with all three element types, if for no other reason that to just show them all off side by side. But yeah. So with Saint redone, you might wonder why I haven't completed the last Defender of Infinity- the Lekgolo colony Voox, and that's because ever since I posted Saint, my universe and the way I write it has changed so much that I decided he needed a fresh coat of paint. Same with Ranger Rakton, or Raniks as I'd prefer to call him now, and you'll see I literally changed the title of the post of him but not his name in the bio at all. Just so it's clear that his name is Raniks. My aim is to rewrite him sometime this year too, maybe make a little tweak to Haxus the Devastator and then get onto Voox one day, and then later, post the entire group together in one image complete with their full team bio. Also, on the subject of the Milky Way-Andromeda War, I figured that would be a war that could be large scale and impactful enough to serve a similar role to the Human-Covenant War, but in the context of the wider galactic community, as in the 'war that pretty much everyone had some part in and if they didn't there's a good reason for it so it helps with people's backstories'. That used to be the whole thing I had going with the Anadytes described in Lockan the Judge's bio, but I figured this would be more fitting. Mind you, its not nearly as long as the Human-Covenant War or as devastating, but its devastating enough to do the job I need it to do, so I'm not stuck in the formula of having every character's war background be rooted in struggles against Taniox or the Hakkor-Tenabrae war that have both been going on for centuries. This way I have a cool way of introducing things in a less restrictive manner. Anyway, I don't really have anything else to say other than I hope you've fooled around and fell in love with Chris Flint's new bio, cause I think I have. Anyway, seeya!)
