DECORUM DRAWING= A CHRISTMAS MIRACLE
Sorry I haven't been as active as I'd like to be lately ! Life has definitely been keeping me busy with work, friends, and my horse ! I will definitely try to draw more but for right now I have dis
So it is also a Christmas miracle that the ISI team discovered that Babe is a gorgeous jumper ! She went up north for the winter to be trained for endurance but the trainer up there was curious so they actually ended up training her for Show Jumping because of her amazing form !! Dat tuck doe !!
I am actually on the look out for a potential foal so if you have any really cool colored warmblood stallions or mares holla at cha gurl !
Hope you like it !
Babe and Riley were all tacked up and headed out to the main jumping arena. The trainer of the clinic saw jumper potential in Babe so they experimented and what do ya know, she was a super star! They had been training her for quite some time now and she had excelled in the discipline quite nicely. She was full of energy and always wanting to run!
Riley had been thankful that she had another project to work on after her beloved mare ISI True Loves Kiss passed away that year. She had truly missed the spunky mare but when it was your time, it was your time. So she had been coping with the mares loss by trying to successfully ride Iam but jumping that horse was a serious death wish if you didn't know how to ride him. So she stuck with Champ and Babe for now and left Iam to another poor soul.
She hopped on the flashy mare and started to warm up. She was definitely not used to the freezing wind against her face! Florida people barely even know what a heater is, let alone cold weather! Babe didn't seem to mind the cold and actually sped up to try to stay warm!
They headed towards the first fence. It was rather small for a warm up fence but Babe still managed to tuck and look perfect of course. They headed to the next jump, a bit bigger this time. Riley could tell the mare was getting excited because she surged forward and leaped easily over the obstacle.
Finally, it was time for the big kahuna. Riley counted to the fence but... didn't see a distance... CRAP! Riley hoped that the mare would see one because she sure didn't!! They came closer and closer to the fence and Babe saw the looooong distance. She sprung from the ground and Riley was forced to grab mane and muttered profanities at the over zealous mare.
Riley heard clapping from the other rider in the ring and then she heard the grumpy trainers voice, "I hope you're clapping for the horse because the rider doesn't deserve it."
Crap.
