Fun Fact: according to Mato's Legends in Localization legendsoflocalization.com/eart⦠, a possible alternate name for Ness in Mother 2 that was excluded in Earthbound was Mario. The Mario alternate name in Mother 2 was changed to Tyler in Earthbound.
