Title: The Poster

Annie’s school is closing for the week, and just before Annie walks out of the door, she spots a poster on the wall for a song contest named: Canadh Amhrán (which means “sing a song” in Irish). Annie takes the poster with her and has a good read of it when she gets home. She decides that she wants to enter the song contest as it was always her dream to have her voice heard. When Dee comes home, Annie shows him the poster for Canadh Amhrán. He obviously shows hesitation towards this idea, but proceeds to convince his and Annie’s mother to let Annie partake in the contest. Annie writes up her song, which is only three lines long and is to the tune of a piece of classical music. That night, Ms. Courtney informs Dee that the auditions are being held in Tallaght, and everyone goes to bed.
