Description

An image based on the events of "The Lost Idol." This image couldn't have actually taken place in the story, but I wanted to get all six figures in one frame. In the old photo of the group (in the Quitclaim universe this would be called an "image"; "photograph" is an archaic term there) that's on the wall, we have, left to right, Rain Sleet, Gwen Sakamura, and Moda Morin. In front of the wall, left to right, we have Juli Sleet, Rain's daughter who looks almost like her, and then the forty-years-later versions of Gwen and Moda.

Juli and her mother are both based on the human version of the Amatera figure by Pixeluna. (I say "the human version" because Amatera also has a cyborg mode.) I hadn't used Amatera heavily before this, and when I loaded her I noticed a strong resemblance in the face to another figure I have used a fair bit, Nasha, by Goanna. (Among other things, Nasha plays the heroine of "Bad Hare Day." ) So Rain Sleet, who is not actually seen in "Lost Idol" except in the image that's on the wall here, is Amatera using Nasha's surfaces; Juli is Amatera using her own surfaces, and thus has a grayer/paler complexion.

Moda is a mixture of mostly Ravna (by Lyoness) and a little bit of Rayve (by DeviousDolls*). For Older Moda, I add some Frida to the face to change the shape a bit and add age, in addition to hand-setting some wrinkles. (We will see Frida herself in just a week or two--she is the designated Mrs. Claus.)

Gwen is a Cuisinart figure--I threw several figures, all of whom were supposed to be at least vaguely Asian, into the food processor and hit Randomize until I liked what I had. To age her, I've added some of Older Lina (Lina is by Anain and Belladona, and you get both a young and old version in the kit) to do for her face what Frida did for Moda's. Plus additional wrinkles.

*DeviousDolls is the label for when DemonicaEvilius and Jessaii are working together. However, the Daz store does not recognize the DeviousDolls label, even though the figure installs under a DeviousDolls directory, and it doesn't do any good to roll over the icons in the kit to see if there's a credit, because for some inexplicable reason, those are all credited to "Silver." So if you look up this figure in the store, you get a pair of artists' names that appear to have no relationship to what's in your content directories in any way.

Juli Sleet is likely to reappear in Quitclaim at some point. She and Randa rather liked each other.
