This just fits Spitz a lot, I mean???
The idea offered from SallyQwest623 (Whom I adopted him from), was either Spitzenburg being militant or a black smith. And I wanted to elaborate further on that. Being an earth pony, Spitz has a bit of magic in his hooves naturally, but that magic is amplified due to his Unicorn-Umbrum father. The ability to crack the earth under his hooves to bring the molten rock to the surface is just one of those higher abilities he has. His front leg guards help protect him from hot or sharp metals, but they also help him conduct his magic better.

Spitzenburg is the eldest ApplejackSombra kid, uses He/They, and has a sharper temper/lower tolerance for messing around.
