Description A lot of firsts for this pic. First time drawing a spinosaurus, a pterosaur and doing that half under water effect. I'm pretty happy with the turn out! =]

Medium: Photoshop

Edit: updated the pterosaur a bit to be a bit more anatomically correct. I do like this one better

This is a fantastic job. I especially love the coloration of the crest above the eyes.

I would feel truly honored if you would allow me to use this in a video I am making about the Dinosaurs who were the Apex Predators of their reign. Its a non-profit slide show montage video, made for fun and advent viewing to everyone. If no, I will respect that. If yes however, then I will guarantee that your name will be in the credits and there will be a link back to your DA page in the description box so that everyone can know that it is work. What do you think?

Wow that did turn out fantastic! I live the details in the spinosaurus and the underwater effect is a nice touch.

I like the overall effect. I do have some criticisms however. That species of pterosaur looks like Pteranodon Longiceps, which was actually quite a large pterosaur. Spinosaurus is large, but its not that large. Pterosaurs also never would be able to carry fish with their feet, think of them more like pelicans. They use their giant mouths to carry the fish. I understand that this is your first pterosaur, but the anatomy is quite broken. It appears that you have looked at bats, especially for the body, for reference. The teeth on the spinosaurus look very flat, maybe try doing some studies of cones, try and show the roundness. Spinosaurs have conical teeth like crocodilians. I like the color palette of the spinosaur, it reminds me a bit of that life size spinosaurus reconstruction. The water was handled very well

My mom wants to go see Jurassic Park in 3D SO bad, but I keep having to work on nights she has off. Somehow, this made me feel a little better. Awesome job!

Man, this is stunning! You did a great job with the half under water effect for it being your first go at it, too. LOVE all the details!
