Quick portrait studies of the 3 protagonists from Capcom's classic beat 'em up, Final Fight.From L to R; Haggar, Cody and Guy.
Been doing these to be more aware of color, especially the ones in skintones.
Done with a couple of bosses and others, will submit them in chunks when completed.

I think out of Capcom's games, Final Fight is the most grounded in some sort of reality. It's still super 80s and goofy (which I love) but it's within the realm of possibility without looking too strange in a live-action format. Street Fighter, while an accurate movie would be cool, (and this is in no way an attack on the character design, because they're all awesome) the characters would just look really flamboyant and ridiculous in a live-action film.Β

He played a character named Tom Cody in a movie called Streets of Fire, which Final Fight drew a lot of influence from. Stupid as hell, but really fun to watch, haha.

Yup, these are just studies for getting better at color, I looked at Michael Pare because of how much Streets of Fire influenced Final Fight. The character's name was even Tom Cody, haha.Β

Yeah, if it was done by the guys who did Ninja Scroll and Vampire Hunter D 2, that'd be awesome. I like the more robust anime styles.Β
For sure, out of Capcom's titles, Final Fight would translate the best for a live action film as well, most plausible of their stories in my opinion.Β
