Oh man, i did a Huge mistake with this painting.... But it didnt affect the final result that much.. I opened a screenshot from Half-Life 2 that i made, (in the citadel) and made it wider... but i totally forgot about resizing it!!! So the final image was something like 1800x700
Oh well..
Done in Photoshop CS2.
Took me 1 hour.
Wacom used.
A reference pic from Half-life 2 was used.

I have know problem giving you credit,and maybe a %.. but as for here do i have to pay for what i want to use. i only asked because i might need to use more than one..i'm doing a film or tv show...i am new here....just trying to understand this site............Anthony

the Gnomon Workshop DVDs are VERY useful... ive seen a few and ive learned a lot!
there isnt actually any shortcut in beeing a good drawer... you just need to draw a lot... every single day...

lol ive made that mistake before, expect i resized the final image for the internet (800x600) and saved over the original picture 0_0.

A fantastic little metropolis there. Doesn't look too great in full-view, though. The city lights resemble shards of broken glass

hmm... well... it was a speedpainting after all.. and the purpose of a speedpainting is to create beautiful scenes in a short amount of time... so details aren't important... and the glass-effect is probably because of the brush i used... i dint concentrate much on them....

Its very pretty, the colours work well, and I'm surprised at the contrast- I'd be scared of yellow and turquoise myself...you're very brave, and clearly quite talented also.
