Hello! Here's some action for you.
This image was inspired by the Macross universe; I wanted to create an action scene, so I came up with this one.
Painted from scratch in Photoshop, as always.
I used a toy model of mine as a reference to make the exact details of the Veritech Fighter. I also used several refs to make this kind of terrain look right (and I realized it was pretty difficult, as I was continuously changing it until I found something I almost like
). I had to exaggerate the perspective of the aircraft a little, in order to make it look not like a small toy.Original size: 4K x 3K px

Tip: next time you are trying to make the perspective of something look really awesome, use a small aperture lens like 27mm and below from close distance to the object and photograph it then take this as a reference.. you will be amazed.

The Land-Air Mechs in Battletech were the same as the Valkyries of Macross (Anime), which were renamed Veritechs in the American repackaging as Robotech.

I've seen a few of the Macross episodes on late night TV here, when I've been able to stay awake long enough...LOL I've been getting into the anime in recent years, but I just wish they would air earlier in the evenings...its a bit rough on this ol' body of mine keepin' awake after 10PM local time.....LOL
