Nice, the colors are perfect and it almost makes you feels the sun shining, the fresh breeze blowing, and the radio playing rock and roll in the background.

Oh and a couple more things. The blue shade for the sky does not match with the blue shade of skies in the windows. The blue bug seems too flat. I would add more highlights to the headlights and the front bumper but I wouldn't go too happy adding too many highlights. And headlights of a car are really difficult to draw/paint.

From my observations, I have found that with window reflections, it is not always a mirror image. A blind, curtains and other objects can cause slight color differences. For example, if there is a white mini blind in the window, it can make the colors look lighter, which is why I made the blue a little lighter.
The front of the car should probably be a little darker to give it more depth. It should get darker as the front cuves to the ground. I debated doing this, but I was trying to make the car stand out.

I love your paintings and I'm going to sound like a harsh ass so please do not take offense. The blue sky seems to be the same value as the green of the trees. There is a tangent that bothers me which the left bush and the pole of the house creates, the front door seems to be curving off of the house not built into the house. The reflections of the trees on the windows of the houses do not look like reflections yet. Windshield of car seems to look like it is missing or has not been installed. I like the decision you made about keeping the house simple. Sometimes simpler is better.

I have been studying reflections for a while, but I am still learning. I have found that a reflection on glass depends on the angle of the light and on shading. I figured from the sun angle on the car windshield would not produce a reflection from the viewers point of view, so I left it clear. For the house reflections, since there was no direct light, and it was dark inside, it would be almost like a mirror. I looked at real life examples of this. Maybe I was over-thinking again
I debated a lot on the blue for the sky. I knew the car was going to be blue and I didn't want them to be the same blue. If I was to paint it over, I would probably go for a lighter blue, as this blue was a bit dark.
I debated shading the car more, especially the front down by the bumper. It should probably be a little darker there.I have so much dark around the car, I was trying to make the car brighter so it really stands out, so I left it lighter there.
Thank you for your comments. There is always room for improvement. I do stuggle between the artist and the scientist in me.

They are neat cars.
I almost made it red, but I thought that might be a little overpowering for this work.

Great job, man! You always create such wonderful moods with your work -- great to see you again, by the way -- I've been out of commission from dA for a little while myself, we have a month-old baby now! (very busy now, lol!)

Haha! I feel that way every morning, lol! Life just keeps picking up speed, the seasons just roll right by it seems. I'm trying to learn how to really prioritize what is important, and also how to appreciate the present to the fullest. I know that you know what I mean -- all we really have is what's given to us now, so why worry and wish and regret, just do the best we can to everyone around us consistantly. Peace man ^-^

I understand. Getting cancer made me really see what was important in my life. It is not all the stuff, but rather my family and friends.

They have cut us back to a 3 day work week, so I don't have the cash to buy one. I was hoping to replace my car with one this year, but I got to get back to 40 hours a week befor I do that.

I would like to make one my daily driver. They get great gas mileage and they are easy to maintain (Compared to other cars) I used to help my cousin work on his. He would keep a spare engine. When there was something wrong with the engine, he would just swap them and work on the problem engine on his workbench.
The only problem is most bugs do not have AC. An AC can be put in one, but bugs don't have a lot of horsepower to begin with, so an AC would slow it down. I would use the AC sparingly.

The prices of DeLoreans have gone down. It is a good time to buy, if you got the $$$.
I was reading about a DeLorean found in the woods on someone's property. Some old lady owns the property and will not cooperate with they guys wanting to rescue the car. The longer it sits there, the harder it will be to restore.

Wow Thats ki9nda of an odd place for a car like that. Years ago I saw a pic of a pretty rough one sittng out in a field somewhere with a fender missing, the engine torn apart, and one wheel missing. It had me in shock, that was the first time I've ever seen a junked Delorean.
It was on this site: [link] They had a Delorean section last time i was on it, but i dont see it anymore...

From what i can see it looks pretty complete. Kinda odd for an old lady to be holding on to something lke that...usually old ladies tend to hold on to cars like old Packards or early 50s Caddilacs

lol Yeh and i doubt she goes back there everyday to see if its there, I'm pretty sure she wont even realize its gone lol Just by looking at the pic, you can barley see it back there.
Maybe somone can pull the ol' switch-a-roo on her. Find a cheap silver sports car that somewhat resembles a Delorean, put that in the Delorean's place and cover it up with brush, and weather it to make it look like its been there for several years.
