I love this, especially the shading on the mountains- I've sketched the Rockies several times, but never really could figure out shading.

Thank you. This was my second real painting (Painting with a brush on a framed canvas).

To get the shading right, I picture the mountains as 3-D objects.

Thank you. That is what I do Here in Houston we have some of the flattest terrain on Earth. Not a hill or mountain nearby.

I like central Texas, also known as the Hill Country. It is beautiful out there. I can get out there in 2 to 3 hours. It is semi-arid with lots of oak trees and crystal clear rivers and lakes.

East Texas is also nice. It is gently rolling hills covered in pine forest. It is the wettest part of Texas.

West Texas is where the big mountains are, but it is also the driest part of the state. There are deserts, but the top of the mountains have alpine forest (Islands of forest in a sea of desert). There is even aspen on those West Texas Mountains. It takes all day for me to drive out there- about 8-12 hours.

that's quite a lot for one state! I think you're lucky you live in the USA... I wish to go there sometime. Honestly, thank the Lord oh I'm not saying i dont like my country - i love it, especially the city I live in.. it should be the capital city in Poland!! u know, we have the biggest trade center in Europe, now there is the conference of the UN about changing climate on Earth. And there is the most beautiful shopping cetner of Europe, it got few awards So how could I not love that city... But hey, is there someone who doesn't love their hometown?

So do the paintings you make are all inspired by Texas? Would love to see more of the landscapes of yours, as your style is really interesting, it actually looks like digital art! Colours are so deep, fresh and juicy. Yummy!

Thank you Barbara for your kind words.

My first DeLorean painting was set in the Colorado Rockies. My second one was set in Texas- it could really be anywhere along the Gulf Coast. On the third one, I had the Miami causeways in mind, and New York City.

Texas is a big state. We are as big as France. We were once our own country- The Republic of Texas. We have a variety of climates, terrain and trees. If you ever come to America, come visit us . I think the central Texas Hill country is the best part of the state.

I am mostly German and Italian decent. I also have some Irish, Scottish and Native American blood in me. (My great grandmother was a full blooded Seneca Native American). My first and last name came from Germany. My great uncle came from Baden Baden, Germany along side my great grandfather. His name was Robert Bleier

I would love to go visit Europe and see where my ancestors walked. The list of places I would like to visit is long, Germany, Italy, Ireland, Scotland. Then I would love to tour the Mediterranean, especially Greece and Spain. I would have Poland on the list.

As for Poland, I do know some about your countries interesting history. You have some beautiful mountains in southern Poland. You have some neat castles. And your Baltic Sea coast looks like a great place to visit, but I don’t know if you could get me in that cold water.

So many beautiful women, like you, are from Poland - I did notice that . That could be Poland's motto- β€œWe have the most beautiful women in the world.”

good point! i like your way of thinking about Polish women

Greece and Spain are lovely, but how about Italy? I think most amazing city in the universe is Rome, I wish it wasn't so destroyed... oh! and Croatia!! Damn, whole world is georgeus, we should visit it all!!

They have been living in Houston since the early 60's. They both were born in Texarkana and grew up there. My wife's folks are from DeQueen and Ben Loben (sp?)

We both have relatives all over the state.

My great grandfather came from Germany and settled in Paragould.
