Description At the tender age of 14, Adell was a victim of STARD's experiments. He was injected with nanotechnology, and was one of the few subjects with a strong enough will to live to survive the process of the nanotech fusing with his DNA. Very shortly before he was picked as a nanotech test subject, Adell lost his right arm in an accident (caused by STARD) and had it replaced with a mechanical one.
When put in a high-pressure situation, anything that really makes his adrenaline pump and triggers that "fight or flight" instinct, Adell's nanotech activates. His mechanical arm has a high synchronization rate with the nanotech, and can transform into different weapons. However, the nanotechnology also causes him to lose some control of himself--he loses his senses, so to speak--and has friendly-fired on his own soldiers/teammates.

This picture here is what happens when the nanotech completely takes over his body. This is also when he is susceptible to being controlled by STARD--like a remote control car. They can access the nanotech when it's activation levels are above 70%, and through it, can control Adell's body. The higher the activation levels, the more completely STARD can control him. Meanwhile, his mind becomes a prisoner, forced to watch as he kills people.
The only way for him to exit this form is if his adrenaline runs dry, if STARD chooses to let him go (never gonna happen) or if he takes control through sheer force of will. The latter is very, very difficult, and therefore highly unlikely.

I'll post a colored version soon; those wings are almost like curtains. They're pretty transparent, and look like sheets of liquid nanotech, but they do enable him to fly a small amount. I wasn't able to really portray the way they look here, though hopefully the colored version will do it more justice.
