Even knowing, this time... Even knowing how it would end, even knowing what would happen, what would come to pass, I stand upon this path again with no more hesitation than the first. I wish there could have been a place for us in the world.

Replaying Assassin's Creed 3. I absolutely love this game-- I know there are a ton of naysayers that hated it, and didn't like the characters, and thought the story was uninteresting, and hated the time period, and so on so forth. Well, here is one avid supporter of all things AC3; I thought the game was brilliant, and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute (even the many, many minutes I spent replaying missions to get 100% synch) and after all, that is the point of a game: to have fun.

But my favorite part were the characters. ALL the characters were wonderful. But of all of them my favorite is Haytham-- he's such a different breed from anyone else in the AC series. And don't tell anyone, but deep down in a safe little padlocked box in my heart I keep alive the belief that Haytham actually did love Ziio. Any man might be seduced by a lovely Mohawk woman, but something about how he looked at her from the very beginning and how he suddenly became 'a mere mortal' with her keeps that little silly hope aflame. True, she raised his son alone-- but that was her choice. And you'll have to look at my Haytham Kenway fanservice meme to get my schpeel on what I think about whether he actually loves his son, because there are already too many feels going on here.

But yeah I really just sketched this out, and got a little impatient towards the end, but overall I like it lots.
