I discovered this church back in 2006 and have been to it several times. The last time I actually went to it, someone had pried the board off of the front doors so I got in. I drove past it not too long ago, and it was boarded up again. It's worth stopping to take pictures of it. Nothing to be nervous about, though.

I don't know if it would be quite THAT high on the coolness scale though it was very neat! I have always wanted to visit Tjernobyl, from the pictures and documentaries I have seen on it, it looks amazing!

I have no clue, but totally agree! Perhaps it's the fact that you know since you are in the middle of the woods that someone/something could be watching you and you not even know it. lol. And thank you!

Nice shot.
Not to creepify your photo, but this shot reminds me of that church that was burned down in the Civil Rights movements in the 50's.
Because of that; this shot invokes a lot of latent anxiety... if I was there with you at the location I'd probably need a moment to decompress here.

Thanks! I know black and white gives more an ominous feel to certain subjects, but this place is creepy looking even in person! I don't know if you have seen the color pic yet or not, but it still gives off that same creepy vibe.

yeah, sounds about right, typical day. ha ha. Kind of ironic you eat lead paint chips but die from a hobo.
