Sorry it's been so long since I've posted a bento. I've been super busy and getting up at 7am every morning doesn't leave me much time to get photos in by the time I leave 45 min later. I had the morning off from class today so I had the time to prepare something appealing and get a photo in! So here it is, this bento contains:Left Container:
Apple, Blackberry, and Strawberry Pieces
Center Container:
Osuimono Soup with Scallion, Kane (crab), Soba Noodles, and Black Sesame
Right Container:
Fish Fillet Pieces with Lion Tartar Sauce Container

Actually I'm not sure, I bought it off of ebay since it was only $30 vs $55 on jbox. If you search thermal bento you should be able to find some. I checked the mL amount on both to make sure that I was getting the correct size for my height/weight/ect

I found one like yours on eBay, but it was quite expensive
..anyways, how do you find the narrow, two-tiered ones to work, as far as holding a substanial ammount of food? I found a pretty pink bento in that style that holds 600 ml and was wondering if that would suit.

It depends on your body height/weight/activity level. You need to find the right mL amount for you and then just search until you find a bento box that you like that's the right size mL.
Thermal bento are more expensive than regular bento

Where did you get hat Lion container? I refer to my Fiancee as Lion, because he as a huge beard and long hair. I need that for his bento.

I'm pretty sure I got it off of ebay. It comes in a four pack with a rabbit, bear, and pig. You'll just have to search around for a little while. I'm sure you can search for lion bento things on ebay/etsy/amazon/ect

you can still make lunch for yourself at home. you don't have to go somewhere to have a pretty lunch

Haha I can see your point, but don't really agree (just a personal thing). Having food look good is a big part of eating. It makes you happier to see something healthy and yummy and cute. And makes you look forward to lunch.

Well Yeah I'm all about food presentation too. But I don't think it's that important to keep the food in a box when you're at home I mean you could stylize it on the plate. It can still look cute out of a box you know? Plus most of my obsession with food has to do with cakes so I'm more of a perfectionist about that. :3
I mean it would be cool if I could do stuff with bento boxes but I don't really have the money for that kind of stuff right now anyway.I'm eating really cheap right now to save money.

XDD I guess it's just your preference Well you can always get cute modern square plates from a place like target or something.I think the cheapest place to get dishes and stuff would be somewhere like a goodwill though especially on half off sales. =_= I know it sounds weird but...You can find really cool stuff there sometimes.

Once you learn the basics of bento it becomes a really quick process. You can get the boxes off of jlist, amazon, and ebay. Some are pretty cheap too

Aww you are too kind! I always thought they were cute and when I was accepted into college I didn't want to gain the "freshman 15" and I just wanted to be healthier in general so I picked it up.
Yes I've gotten a couple from jlist. It depends on where they have things in stock. Some things are in stock here in America, others are in stock in Japan, and some even need to be ordered from the company. It usually takes between 2-6 weeks to arrive.
