Description Mozart and teenage Beethoven meeting somewhere in 1787. It's not clear whether they really met or not, but in my "head canon" they have.
I took off their wigs, may they forgive me.

They did meet. Beethoven went to Vienna when he was 17 where he performed to Mozart, who said "Watch this young man, he will make a great noise in the world."

I don't really know if Beethoven wore a wig or not.

Maybe when he was a kid?

Love the lighting in this piece.Β ITS SO PRETTY.Β Β
The colours give a very warm tone to the atmosphere. I also like the contrast in terms of expression between Mozart and Beethoven.Β Β

Love the colors and the attitudes of both characters, the only con I would say is that Mozart, unlike Beethoven, stuck the wig. Besides that I love it <3Β

You mean you'd like to see Beethoven in a wig too, or Mozart - without one?Β
And thanks for commenting

Mozart. The kid always used a wig. I guess Beethoven never really cared. If you think about it, this might have being influenced by how his childhood went, he probably did not care, and felt more comfortable like that, or he simply wanted to stand out. But Mozart always (well, most of the times, for some exceptions can be found) kept to such fashion of his time. And if we want to link it to his childhood, (due toΒ
the drawing being about them as kids), I believe it makes sense as well, taking into consideration how strict his father was, how rigorous his lifestyle was, and the class of people for whom he performed during his entire life. xD

I do not own the following, but you might want to check them out:

And if it appears that this drawing is of them as kids, it's not. They're just chibified a bit Β

No, I wrote in the author's note, that Beethoven supposedly met Mozart when he (Beethoven) was 17. So this pic illustrates their communication right after that meeting

Yes, I know Mozart always wore a wing (except at his deathbed). As for Beethoven, there were a couple of old time drawings of the scene where he met and played for Mozart and he had his unruly dark hair. Didn't look like a wig to me

Hahah, this is amazing! So techinqually well done, yet so creative and interesting.
It is great how you imagined them. Beethoven looking quiet untidy, like he should have with that unhappy childhood and that whole story behind him.. On contrary, Mozart just shines-a child whose everyone's idol, so beloved and observed as a miracle. Amazing!
