Description
This is Specimen 2 from Spooky's Jumpscare Mansion. It is the second specimen you face in the game and the first actual threat you meet while venturing through the mansion's quiet hallways. Specimen 2 is actually one of the easier specimens to escape from since it is pretty slow and doesn't have much in the way of special abilities like specimen 5 and 11, although it can levitate and phase through walls. It also leaves goo puddles around the floor which slow you down, but they small and really easy to avoid when you can. This specimen is first encountered in room 60 after reading a letter presumably written by it, and can appear in almost any room after that (I even managed to meet it while in rooms 950-995).
Despite being so easy, this is one of my favorite specimens because I like its design, music and sound effects. Additionally, most people I watch playing tend to get really scared with this one because it is the first real monster that appears in the game.
I tried going to a more monotone approach with this drawing, using only black and grays, to make it look a bit scarier and mysterious. That is why it is not colored like in the game, where it has a dark-green color. I have tried using some new ink drawing and photoshop techniques with this one to give it a different look.
