After making sure, that the first batch of young ones had been brought to safety, Zoe returned to the Daycare. She paused briefly to look at the building. Wherever there was an opening, black smoke came pouring out. Having finally escaped its confines, it expanded and rose towards the sky, where it formed a massive plume. To most bystanders it inspired dread, a promise of death and destruction. Not so with Zoe. She was looking at it in awe.

"Zoe!", a familiar voice called out.

The Rotom turned around. Her face lit up, as she recognized the Weavile from before. She had since learned, that his name was Sundance and that he was the youngest of the local guild leaders.

"Great job you did there with the children", he complimented her. "I've just talked with Claire, the daycare manager. According to her, there are still five children missing." He made a pause and looked down at the purring Skitty in his hands. "Well. Now the number is down to four. I just found this one strutting around in the grass." He smiled at this statement. Then - half in jest, half in earnest - he continued, "If you meet your friend in there.., tell him, that he can't just toss the kids out the windows. They need to be brought in properly!"

Zoe laughed at this. "Ok, thanks and will do!", she replied, playfully saluting Sundance, then she spun around and zoomed off towards the daycare.

The energetic ghost-pokémon moved swiftly. Darting from room to room, she had soon covered most of the daycare. Wherever she went, the smoke was ever present. It seemed to have lost its momentum though. Casually it was drifting through the air, or hanging from the ceiling in big, lazy clusters. Zoe didn't pay it much attention and continued her search.

"Anybody in here?", she called out, entering one of the larger rooms. There was no answer. Toys were lying scattered on the floor. The young Rotom picked up a doll, fashioned to look like a Smoochum.

"Ha! Lucifer would like this one.", she said to herself. Turning it around, she noticed a wooden ring, that appeared to be attached to its back. "What's this?", Zoe thought in puzzlement. She didn't know what to make of it and gently tugged at the ring. A piece of string appeared. She kept pulling and it grew longer. Then it came to a stop. Zoe kept tugging, but nothing more happened.

"This is boring", she thought and put the doll back on the floor. As soon as she let it go, the cord began to reel in on itself and the doll let out a sudden squeal. "Ah! Sorry, I didn't mean to hurt you!!", Zoe exclaimed, thinking that the doll had suddenly come to life. Hurriedly she picked it up.

Giggles of delightment filled the air. "It's not alive, silly!", a child's voice said, barely able to keep itself from bursting out in laughter.

Zoe turned around. Standing among the toys and still giggling, were a Minun and a Plusle. They were the missing twins.

They were a delightful company and Zoe instantly liked them. Heading towards the kitchen, they were constantly chatting. With great excitement they told her about, how the giant statue had passed right outside of their window and how the entire building had shaken under its mighty step. Waving their tiny arms, they told her, how choking smoke had suddenly filled the daycare, turning day into night and causing them all to cough terribly. They had been so scared.

Zoe enjoyed listening to the twin's chatter and banter. She shared every bit of their excitement. Letting out a cheerful laughter, she praised them for their bravery. Together they entered the kitchen. Then all of a sudden, her voice trailed off and her eyes grew wide with wonder. The Rotom stopped dead in its tracks.

"What's wrong?", the more timid of the twins asked. It was the little Plusle. Giving Zoe a worried look, she gently tugged at her arm, but got no responce.

Exchanging side glances with his sister, Minun tried his luck. "Come on, Zoe. We gotta go! The kitchen door is just over there.", he urged her and pulled her arm as hard as he could, but she still didn't heed them. Another side glance to his sister and then he let go of Zoe's hand. Placing himself in front of the hoovering ghost, he looked up at her spaced out face. Rising on his toes, he waved his tiny paw in front of her eyes. That finally caught her attention.

"Kids, I just got the most wonderful idea.", she said, a big smile spreading across her face, as she spoke. She moved forwards again.

Mystified the twins looked at eachother, then they followed her.
