From a fairly recent dream.

The small pink granules are like semi-soft gravel. When placed in water, they break apart and then dissolve.
An electric current is passed through the water, which the causes the dissolved particles to come together, forming organic compounds and then life.

The animal (and condensation/evolution steps) shown is an example of a 'rushed' life form, an animal that is almost isn't properly formed at adult age but still manages to survive.

The globe on the left can be rotated (somehow) and different areas can be focused on. These areas appear at the user's specified magnification to zoom in at different sizes of living things.

The hyper-fast evolution is at a rate of roughly 100,000 years / second, but can of course be slowed down.
