Perhaps it's because I believe that anyone should be able to love anyone they want, gender regardless. Or maybe because this is one of my favorite yuri pairings. Either way, they should be able to bound in (un)holy matrimony (the whole half-demon thing, remember?)

it has nothing to do with churches. it's about the right to equality and just because we are different than them they decide we need a different title. we cannot be husbands or wives but only partners. there are hundreds of non religious weddings every year. performed by and for people outside of the church and these are still called weddings and marriage. this wouldn't force the church to do anything
