Oh what could that possibly be... a shrine? a burial ground? Makes me think of this article I read. I remember very little but it was this giant hole in the ground with a concrete slope leading to it. They'd place corpses on the slope for vultures, and the bones would fall into the pit. I don't even know if it was a real thing anymore but the idea is interesting.
