Mapplethorpe, Robert 1946–1989American artist whose single-image black-and-white photographs often depict flowers, the human nude, and male homoeroticism.

After G.P. Lynes, Mapplethorpe is my favorite male nude photographer.
My favorite nude work of his is Man in polyester suit 1980.
An idea to try to copy his wors followed me for some time. In 2005 I had an agenda with his flower works. (In 2006 I've got a National Geographic Wildlife agenda)
This photo is a tribute to his flower-work.

This photo is stunning. Colours are so full of life that I can only wish that I could grab it and put it on my window!
I have also a suggestion... I think that the photo itself would be even prettier if the border was of the same width horizontally and vertically... I don't know... it's just a thought.
