Description
The fragility of human life.It´s so incredible, and such a terrible sight to see the strong, the almighty will turned to ashes, bent by the power of nature.
It breaks you inside, burns your heart, leaves you breathless, the moment you get face to face with that fragility. With the realization that, no matter how strong you are, nor how far you´ve reached: death comes to us all.
In the end, the only thing that really matters, is the people that linger in your death-bed.

The fact that we eventually cease to live is the only reason we have a notion of life at all.
You have a knack for the theatrical, maybe? Attributes like 'fragility' do not exist in my book.
Say there's an animal in an enclosed box, but if you open the box, the animal will surely die.
So how do you know whether it's alive or dead? Or if it's even there at all? You'll have to assume
it's both at the same time.

Yep, I adore theatricals. I believe it´s the only way to get other people, the ones who are not in your wavelength, to hear you out.
Another thing, I kinda disagree with you on the animal example.
If you put a wild animal in a box, it will eventually die. If have an animal that´s been living all its life in a box, and you take it out of the said box, it will die. Both were alive, but both died because they couldn´t adapt.
Humans, at least the smart ones, don´t get through that. Part of intelligence is the ability to adapt. We are alive, and the more we adapt and bloom, the more alive we feel. It´s not a matter of fragility or strength. It´s a matter of intelligence.

You're applying common sense here, but it's all theoretical that 'animal in the box' thing. I could just as well have said ''object x's status can be either a or b, but is currently unknown. If you try to find out what it's status is in a physical manner, it automatically becomes b'' (and the animal dying is just to withhold people from saying they'd try anyway) So the question is: how do you determine whether it's a or b?
Feeling alive? Are you talking about consciousness or just playing with words again?

There´s a huge difference between living and feeling alive. The first one is what we all do. Wake up in the morning, take breakfast, go to work (or to school), come back and eat... blah blah blah, until it´s time to go to bed and then start all over again. Even animals live.
But FEELING alive...
It´s like feeling your heart running wild, your veins pumping fire inside, your senses completely awaken and ready to receive anything from the outside world. It´s like burning everything you have inside.
So, the animal would be living, not feeling alive.
I can´t tell you, but my guess is that the feeling is a particularity of mankind. To actually be conscious of it.
How we can determine whether a or b? it´s a matter of choice, I guess. Someone finds a way to irrefutably prove that either is a or b, and the rest decides to go along.

There's no such thing as 'mankind' for me: humans there are, yes. But relating to the human race as a whole when voicing your assumptions about human behavior (which all stem from your own experience) means you're generalizing.
Stay on the subject, here. How do you alone determine what's in the box? If you open it you can, but it yields an undesirable result. (animal dies) One answer is: you don't. Assume the creature is both alive and dead at the same time.

You´re right about your answer, but then again, it´s like asking ourselves whether the world that we know really exists. We have no confirmation of it other than our senses. A bunch of electrical impulses and stored information that, anyways, is prone to be modified in any other direction.

Yeah, so that's why I'm not theistic and concur to Descartes' ''Cogito ergo sum'' meaning I think, thus I am. And my own thought is pretty much the limit of what can be proven, and the whole world is a part of it. That's just my own thought, however. You can still believe in whatever you want without hearing any objections from me.
