Description
A bit of a design challenge I decided to do so here’s pokemon XY’s legendaries as.. gods or something. I’m thinking I’ll do Groudon, Kyogre and Rayquaza as well. More will be determined by how much interest there is for these designs.

I am currently deciding on which trio to do next, and there seems to be a popular demand for Lugia and Ho-oh. Once I decide on a third member, I believe those will be my next designs.
However, I am expecting to do as many of the legendries as possible. The dogs are certainly a possibility.

In my (hopefully) humble opinion, the most fitting third member would be Celebi, as the remaining GenII legendary after the dog trio, Lugia and Ho-oh...

Hm. My impressions were:
Xerneas - Graceful and refined
Yveltal - Aloof and powerful
Zygarde - MAJESTIC AS ALL F*** XD

These were the words I went by when I designed them:
Xerneas - male - majestic, gentle
Yvaltal - male - powerful, broken
Zygarde - female - majestic, intellectual, stiff

Hm, I've always envisioned Yveltal as the female figure (especially considering that the most destructive yet exploited figures in mythologies are often female) but your male figure is simply stunning and I may have changed my mind for the sake of these designs.

Yes, that is true. Female figures in mythology are often very powerful beings. That was actually my reason for making Zygarde female, since the description of it only states that it appears and shows its amazing power. I saw Zygarde as being the more powerful of the trio - a queen of kings, in a way.

I just thought what you two were saying was so interesting! I always figured Xerneas as the female figure, haha x3 Being the Life Pokémon and all, and as women give life in the sense of giving birth, it just always struck me as being the female of the trio.
That said, I am so digging Zygarde as a lady

Also, yes, I do see the point in Xerneas being female, but I am a person that likes to take common beliefs and turn them on their heads. That being said, I do actually view all of these legendary god pokemon as being genderless. I see them as angels in a way, with Arceus being God in that case. That they may have the appearence of a certain gender, and they may not, but they do not actually have genders. No genitals I suppose would be the easy way to describe it. If you have ever watched Dogma, then that would be my example of such a thing.
