Denis - I've looked at this a lot; it has a lovely peaceful mood and your usual masterly attention to detail in every part of the image. The central positioning of the stone wall is immediately challenging to the eye, but acts as a strong divider between the textures to the left and right. What has really got me thinking however is the inclusion of the tip of the beach to the left of the shot - marking the water out as a channel rather than open sea, and continuing the line of the beach from the right. I originally wondered if the image might be better without this, leaving more to the imagination. But overall I think that this piece of beach is essential to the whole balance of the composition. It is also pleasing that it's edges are not sharp - it is a suggestion of continuity more than a feature, holding the eye but not drawing it's attention. The diagonal line of footprints on the sand leading to the shore and the rock in the water by the end of the wall engage the imagination - so much disturbance in the sand in the foreground, but only one line of footprints leading out over the smooth sand to the shore... The more I look, the more I see - but most of all this appeals on a much deeper level, somewhere beyond thought and analysis...

Thank you very much,Nigel....glad you notice footprints....usually detail like this is lost because people tend to look at pictures very fast...(not you of coarse...)
As for left part i was have also same doubts...as this is crop on original it is much more of that part...but i am still not sure...anyway it will need a serious cloning work but on some moments it look to me that it give balance to whole picture...so,still not sure...

Denis - for me this is fine just as it is. Sometimes more work gives less results. Great image.
