Just something they're playing with I guess. I drew celestia with a ball and then I decided I wanted to do a whole set of drawings like that one so to keep them consistent I have to draw them all interacting with a ball in some way. It makes them look a little cuter when they're running around playing with something too, instead of just standing there.
