Ah I'm glad you recognized my foremost effort.
All GoW characters are gigantic linebackers, and not having the game (but having played the original when it first came out a while back at a friend's) I struggled with what the idea of what the aggressive females may look like in this game's universe.

She is not from the same army, she's a residual soldier from a resistance faction against the army that Marcus belongs to, left over from the previous war, therefore she doesn't wear the same armor.
As a sniper, she wears light armor, but in attempt to keep with the style of the game and to fit her into the GoW universe, I did conceptualize her leg armor as a sort of kinetic memory metal, which flexes and returns to shape in order to assist movement and carrying of heavy ordinance/supplies while out in the field alone (my post was just getting too long to include all the info lol).
She is wearing a helmet, it is under camo on the left pic.
