A wallpaper I did last summer, featuring Reepicheep the Talking Mouse from the Narnia series by C.S. Lewis. It was done for Woodworks , the Elfwood 'magazine', to go in the 'goodies' section.I can still remember how I painstakingly drew every individual hair in Painter with a fine airbrush!
I know that the mouse anatomy isn't totally correct, but it'll do - Reepicheep is a talking mouse, after all.

I am rereading all the books his week for the first time since I was a kid. Wonderful stories, even at 21 I had tears in my eyes as Reep went over the last wave... such a beautiful end for him.

I'd have to say this is one of my fave scenes from the books. Reepicheep was so noble and brave and it was sad but also happy to see him dissapear over the wave. This looks beautiful, you've done a really good job.

Brave old Reepicheep. I always loved him in those books. It must have been hard to do, drawing each little hair, but you did an amazing job on it!

if i recall correctly, i think reepicheep decided to leave his sword behind before going to aslan's country because he knew he wouldn't need it there.
