Description I have been wanting to this for a long time and decided tonight would be the night.

Anyway here it is. Don't know if it looks enough like him but I like it.

Yes it was - I like ny watercolur to have some whitespace within it

That's why I don't work with water color... I get obsessive and
end up with paper mache.

Thanks very much - I tried to make him look a little different yet keep the resemblance. I thought going in quite tight might add some atmosphere

Thanks very much. I paint in watercolour in a very slapdash way!!! I have found that using the paint out of the tube is better - also the paint I don't use i let set solid on the palette then I can reuse it as if it is from a pan - works very well I find!

your welcome, thats a good idea never thought of that as my kelsey tends to use watercolour tubes but always squeezes out way too much, will need to remember this, how long on average do you take on a watercolour?

My watercolurs are very quick - never more than an hour and half - often less that an hour. Thats what I like about watercolour - I don't have the patience to spend hour after hour on one artwork - I wish I did have!

yes I'm about that time too with watercolour ... I'm still working on the football picture which is to be auctioned for charity and boy am I struggling lol have maybe put in about 8hous so far and it's not even half way there EEK!! Ive been having problems with my internet it keeps cutting off (never go with Talk, Talk) so if I'm not replying or commenting straight away it's cos I cannt get on, hopefully be sorted soon

Well I hope it goes well in the end. And as you say - to a good cause so it will be worth it.

I have done a good artwork today but will not be able to show it here for a few weeks - until the person it is for will have seen it. Should be doing something I can post very soon though.

have repainted the football picture and I am still working on it, maybe another 2-4 hours and it will be finished ...hopefully
looking forward to seeing your artwork... back from hospital again but back in at the end of the week looks like it's going to be a long slogg...

Sorry to hear about your continued hospital visits. I hope it all sorts itself out soon.

You will have to wait a few weeks to see the cards but I have put a new artwork up tonight. It wont be to everyones liking though!!! I wasn't in a particularly good mood when I did it but it was good therapy!!!

Thanks very much - It just seems to work better for me that way. I do really like watercolour where all the whitespace is filled. A lot of artists paint the whole sheet of paper with a wash first but that is not really my thing.
