Wow, that's still so weird that the structure of its wings are exposed... It's fascinating and mildly creepy at the same time.

I love the way it's holding its feet.
It seems like it's smiling.

That is a great shot, its really hard to find a good image like this. The light coming through the feathers lets you see just where those lovely feathers overlap. I bet that sure wasn't an easy shot to get

thankyou for the kind comments. i really should get off my but some day and start a corvid stock account.

thankfully, digital film is cheap or else i'd have to pawn my organs to pay for the amount of missed shots i've burned through.

A corvid stock account would be AWESOME, my crow is absolutely terrified of the flash (not that I blame him) and his cage is too dark to get a decent photo in, which in turn makes him very hard to get a good picture of.

Isn't Digital fabulous?

lol yes my mother and I do wildlife rehabilitation and he wave a few crows, all of them cant be released because of some injury, like a twisted foot or a badly healed broken wing. I have a few pictures though they arent the best quality, I'll try to upload them.
They're all fish crows, which is the most common where I live in Florida.

Lachlan lives in the center of our house, if you put him out with the rest of the crows he gets depressed and stops eating. So he lives inside where we can see and talk to him all day long, I think he thinks he's a human. We've had him since he was a baby and he can say quite a few words now like"Crow" "Lachlan" "uh oh" "mine" etc

i'm sorry. i wrote a reply and DA ate it. basically i said that it was a worrisome time until Ukko began to roost and travel with their family and that i suspect Ukko is a lady.

thankyou for commenting.

i'm glad you like it. i kept trying to get this shot with only sky. got tons badly out-of-focus pics or with parts of a crow.
