thank you. this is exactly how i feel. people say i'm too young to feel things as deep as depression. they only see my mask, my perfect disguise my "perky, energetic self"

Well, that's stupid. I'm assuming you're a teenager. Depression and suicide is actually a serious issue for teenagers, largely because it isn't taken seriously so teens don't get the help they need. Bullying is also a big issue in the preteen and teen years (it's even worse now that we have cyberbullying), which can lead to or worsen depression and has even driven teens to suicide. Even children have been known to have depression, though they generally show it differently so you're never to young to have depression.
If you haven't already, you should talk to someone. If you're parents won't listen and don't understand than turn to one of your teachers or the school social worker/psychologist. They should have some training in psychology, including mental illnesses, like depression. This post just really worries me because it sounds like you're suicidal and no one's taking you seriously.
