NOTES: Another disgruntled parent with lack of self-awareness having issues with his half-breed offspring's choice of mate. Mom is a gentle centauress, dad is a grumpy troll, the son is a half-breed and the girlfriend is a...dirty hob-goblin slave girl, I think. It's the big pointy droopy ears that gives it away, see. Not quite elfish, by my own fantasy lore anyways.

*grin* fun stuff!

Long ago, Donna Barr did similar 'taur sillyness in "The Centaurs Gatherum",
an old encyclopedia and fan-zine of all things 'taur.

Thanks for carrying on that fine tradition of FUN!

Thanks! I remember Donna Barr and this one comic I had with centaurs in a WW 2 setting, which she apparently created straight on paper with ink, no sketches or layouts. Or so the legend goes. :3

Stinz was the centaur comic. Legendary artist with very unique stories,
such as "The Desert Peach".

Interesting tattoo designs. Hope to seeΒ more of this family someday!

Ah yes. Mother and son got the same style of tattoos. Must be something tribal and cultural for centaurs.

This follow-up is on some list somewhere. Give me a nudge about along the road and magic might happen. :3

Nudge. Is the hair loop things on the mom also tribal, or to emulate her mate?

That's to show her bond with her mate. Well spotted! :3

I wonder how the son and the slave girl met? I can't wait to see what their children look like...

I keep creating piles of follow-ups for myself, aren't I...? Wait...No, I don't..! YOU ARE! X3

Well, you know I like making follow-ups (currently 12 acts of centauresses and counting), but you might have to remind me again.

No problem there! I still want to see how they met and what kids they'll have. I wonder how the parents met...

Silly Troll dad, he if anyone should see the value of thinning out your blood with pretty things :3

Right you are! There's a double ironic hypocrisy be found here!

...I think I got that right. I sometimes try using more English than I can handle. :3

How does the whole blood thinning thing work again anyways?

DerangedMeowMeow In reply to The-Literary-Lord [2018-02-22 11:45:10 +0000 UTC]

My trolls change as they grow older and even more so when they breed with their own kin. This makes their blood "thicker". Mixing their bloodline with humans will thin their blood and keep this change in check, otherwise they will turn into hideous monsters after a few generations, basically your classic ugly stinking savage troll. Humans are best suited for this purpose, but as a rule this successful mix only works between a male human and a female troll.

Mixing troll males with human females or other species usually don't end up as pretty as this crossbreed. ;3

What causes them to change? How long do they live? Does it affect their intelligence? Why only a male human and female troll? What happens with the reverse?

So he got off lucky there. Does he have any siblings? I wonder how his own kids will turn out, given the above info?

Somehow, I think it's a bit hypocrite from the Troll dad to object this! XD

Other of the drawings that will mark me a lot, I have to recognise that my first character of dA, "Quiebrahuesos Wargh" -that spanned many of these Fredrik KT Andersson inspired drawings in my gallery!- precisely comes in a great deal from this girl -and her looks!-

I do believe it was part of the whole scenario and why the son looks so seriously miffed. :3

Always a fun finding out things about my artwork that have inspired you, Shabazik! Never could guess this one character had such an impact, although I am not surprised.
I'm speaking from my own experience. I also find it's usually a detail, element or single character in an image or larger scenario that adds that's on big spark of inspiration.
