i love the pallette youve chosen and the composition in general is really strong. also the way youve introduced some nonlocal colours into the neck of the righthand figure is wonderful and really gives volume as opposed to the bird (your intent, i'm sure )

two things the shirt on the bird figure looks a tad smudgy, like youve used charcoal or something. though i cant say ive seen the reference, perhaps if you made the drapery a bit crisper it would add more impact? (though its really glowy and is wonderful with the ghostly feel) also! maybe turn your flash off when taking photos. the glint distracts from your beautiful work.

I like the shadow bird figure and the general tone of the painting. Minimalist color really works for this.
