..............................My portrait of Bagheera, the panther character from Ruyard Kipling's "Jungle Book" stories. I was inspired to create this image after seeing the new live action Disney adaptation.
To create this image, I used digital art techniques including 3D rendering (a type of CGI), and digital painting.

That's a spotlight in vue. It comes out a bit more strongly though because I enhanced the contrast in post production using photomatix.

bu...... this is a black jaguar, and bagheera is a panther (I´m living in the mayan river, I know tha black jaguar) btw.... I love Bagheera <3

Thanks! "Panther", it turns out, is a blanket term. It can actually refer to a puma, leopard, or jaguar. Where I live, what we always called panthers (or more often "cougars" or "mountain lions") are actually pumas. In the case of Bagheera, he is technically a black Asian leopard.
