Even though it'sstill very cold most days, plants and animals seem to be in a springtime mood. This heliobore was blooming in a wooded area surrounded by leaves, so it was well protected from the wind.Related content

I like this very much, like the helleborus stands up in the middle of the dry leaves, really nice!

I guess I don't like it too hot, although it gets really hot here, too. In summer, it's often in the upper 90s-100s, with a lot of humidity. Ugh.

Thank you! Yes, heliobores are in bloom now. Also snowdrops and crocuses are beginning. Witch hazel trees are in blossom with their weird flowers; they can withstand any kind of cold weather it seems. And pansies! THey are such tough flowers, they bloom the year around, no matter how cold it gets. There are times when they look kind of wilted, but they're alive!

I had to do a bunch of regular old chores today, and I got sooooo tired, I just crashed and went to bed around 2 PM. I don't normally nap, but I have been lately. I hope you can get the meds that will work best for you, Lori. Some are better than others as we know.
