I clicked on one of the emoticons I saw in someone's note. That led me to a DA web site, where there were others. Apparently, a lot of these are icons to accounts, just like we have avatars. If you see something ending with PLZ, there's often the word "icon" in front. Example how to type in the entry:
: iconimhappyplz : Type it without any spaces and see what happens! If you click on it, you'll get to the creator's website. It's free advertising, plus there are other emotes there!

Very, very true words, Thelma. Cats never grow up, either! So there's no worries about them wrecking the car, incurring huge college loans, being subject to the bad practices of certain other children, wanting to buy designer clothes, wanting a huge allowance, and so on. I love cats!

I've always loved animals more than humans Jean, all the pets I've had in my life have brought me only pure happiness, except when they passed of course. My kids, and certain people, on the other hand, have given me loads of heartache and pain

I have been saying this since I was a kid. Animals have a certain code that they live by. We are supposed to, too. But we often don't, and that's the difference. There's nothing 'animal-like' about war, killing, robbing, destroying the earth. And that's what humans do every day.

We gave up on having a clean house and clothes a long, long time ago. Cats shed constantly, and like to tear around the house and play (completely normal). This means it's a mess most of the time!

That is so weird! All our cats as far back as I can remember had a "thing" for shoes, regardless of smell! They like to stick their heads down in there for a good sniff. I think it's the leather that they like.

I can't even begin to list the ways they make you laugh! Ours are into hijinks every day of their lives and we are always laughing and screaming when they do something utterly crazy! They are a blessing, for sure.

Its so funny too when sometimes a visitor friend gets up off one of our sofas and has a white furry behind! They don't mind though, because most of our friends are cat lovers too
