Thank you. It's not a normal fractal, is it? But I LOVE star shapes and had to do this one. I have several other star images as well....different colors and textures.

Thank you, Lori. Just a few weeks ago, I swore off contests for awhile, but I couldn't turn my eyes away from something that was such a challenge. I never made a proper star before, so finding the right formula/coloring/mapping transform was a huge effort! But I learned!

No, I just don't like to get in over my head with competitions. Sometimes, I feel like I'm barely able to keep up with things here on DA as it is, and getting into a contest just makes it worse. But I'm a sucker for a good challenge! (Actually, my 3rd place win was the first time I've ever won anything here on DA, so I was very proud indeed!)

You know, it think it's just that I'm a bit slower about some things...I look at people's journals (especially the CSS custom designed ones) and see their contests, and wonder how on earth they find the time to do it all! I'm glad they do find the time, though. It takes me forever to just do routine things, e.g., look at deviations, comment, fave, etc. I'm just kinda pokey when it comes to that. I'm usually at a loss for words, so I have to think about what I'm saying. But it's so much fun being here and I'm loving very minute of it.
