Another snowy scene, near where I live. The snow was coming down so fast that everything looked like one of those snow globes that you shake up.Related content

Thanks, Anita! I wish I could capture some water-side scenes like you did, but when it snows here, it's usually too slippery and risky to go driving any great distance--especially on the back roads. The nearest lake is about 15 miles away!

Oh gosh yes....I remember growing up in N.C. and my dad loved the snow and when it snowed, he would jump in the car and go...drove my mom nuts! lol Because the temps are so near freezing where you are......it makes it much more slippery........than what we have here with it colder.....the colder it is....the easier it is to drive! People here go 60 mph on the ice and snow when it's quite cold....including me! Even though you don't have water shots, you have such a great eye for photos, that's it's hard to not fav all of yours!

You're very welcome, Anita. I didn't know Alaskans could drive fast on ice/snow! I guess the extreme cold makes for good traction somehow; that's fascinating. People are bad drivers around here. Lots of them come from somewhere else--places that don't get a lot of snow and ice. They're the real problem!

Thank you, Lori. It was beautiful outside, but hard on the camera! The flakes were blowing sideways, and got stuck on the lens many, many times; the camera itself froze up & gave me an error message. I had to take it home and re-set the memory card, then it worked.. It was difficult shooting out there, but I managed to get a few pix.
