I think most of us would be better off, if we found joy in the simple things in life.

THank you. She was so tired out that she didn't mind me taking pictures too much. At some point, though, she will say, "enough" and walk away!

I agree! Patrick will stick his head in my purse looking for snacks.

They seem to know when we are "using" them in a certain way. They do have pride and a code of manners (of sorts). It always amazes me how much presence and personality each individual animal has!

Between our first springer, J.J, and Patrick, I'm amazed to see the personality differences. J.J. was so laid-back. Patrick is high energy. I love them both for their doggie individuality!

Thanks! Mine can't get enough of that sunny window. THey pester me all the time to open up available windows so they can get some fresh air, too!

Thanks, Sarah. Cats have their heads in the right place, I think. They know the value of fresh air, sunshine, lots of naps, and living in the moment. They are good to have around the house!

You got that right. I'd never survive without mine. Life just wouldn't be worth a hoot.

They are so cute (of course, I'm a bit biased here) when they stretch out. She crosses her front and back legs when lying on the floor, and always looks so dainty and skinny. Freddie can look really regal because he's so massive; he reminds one of a sphynx!

Ours are oddballs in that respect. They both lie down and stretch their front legs all the way out. We have never seen cats do that before, either. Evidently, they find that position very relaxing!

Well my cats put their front legs all the way out....but not the back legs, that's what I thought you were saying, I could of read it wrong.

Oh, I see! When they lie down on their sides, they stretch their back legs out. I've also seen them lying on their backs with rear legs out--that's when they're really, really sleepy!

No, mine can't do that while on their tummies. I've seen doggies do it, though. Looks like it would a be a difficult stunt, but they seem to be relaxed. A friend of mine used to have a mixed bulldog/terrier/miscellanous mutt, who gained a bit of weight as he got older. He loved to do the spread eagle thing on his stomach and back--both!
