I miss the old days too, and I remember that guy, I believe their was an article that they said he was an asshole to his colleagues and after a bad promise from the CEO of Tecmo he quit the company and swore if Tecmo used his character designs he would sue.

This must be why the character designs changed quite considerably. Well Ninja gaiden 3 Razor's edge wasn't so bad, and the dead or alive 5 ultimate has some great looking characters, I didn't get 5 straight away, I was like if Itagaki's not making it then I'm not gonna buy it. Then I saw how sexy the girls were and I was like well couldn't hurt to try out lol though not itagaki's work his characters were cuter more anime style, which I do miss but don't get me wrong It was time it changed a bit more mature. I wonder what they would have looked like if Itagaki did the mature overhaul of the characters.

Can you imagine anime cute and mature? hmm Yeah I just thought a bit and realized they would of looked better overall,  they would keep the faces they would just look more mature and sexy whilst keeping anime trend instead of pure anime and cute. I wish someone would simulate what they could look like.

It's probably like this cute anime faces, mature sexy bodies from doa5 ultimate and ninja gaiden 3 razors edge. basically put the anime-ish faces on realistic style bodies?

yeah i was doubtful about buying the DOA5 and the NG3 RE without Itagaki in charge, but the new girls models helped me to change my mind too although i still think the best DOA in the series is the remake of DOA2 from the original xbox.
and well, i liked NG3 RE because you can now play the whole single player campaign with ayane, Momiji and kasumi.
