Description Snagglesquids are one of Alcazar's most bizarre faunal groups. Descended from early cephalopods that arrived during the Late Cambrian/Early Ordovician, at a first glance they wouldn't seem that different to their ancestors. However the Snagglesquids have a secret unique to them alone. They can float in the air. Quite how they do this is a mystery, but investigations have discovered a series of hydrogen bladders within the shell that appear to grow with age. These are most likely the reason behind their floating abilities. The young are born in water, then, as they mature and their shell develops, these hydrogen bladders start to form. The older the animal gets, the larger the bladders become. As the shell expands so do these bladders, and so the animal's floating abilities get better.
