Description Yet another one of the growing number of races of iUniverse...

The siir are another herd-mentaled-pantaphobic races who get along well with the dk'dk, puppeteers, and other similar races. Their four limbs fold inside slit-pouches at either end of the body. They can move forwards and backwards equally easily, as there is no real anterior or posterior ends. They are sonotrophs, which means they feed on sound waves collected by the hovering parabodies. These structures are connected to the main body by tiny, yet strong neurothreads. Siir individuals have vibrant patterns across their bodies. These have nothing to do with vision, as they have no eyes. Instead, the colors give off different heat signatures, which serves as individual identification.

i love the weird heat signatures for communication, through i imagine there could be other aliens with actual eyes that change color patterns similar to the heat patterns of the Siir.
