Description Yesterday during a drink session my friendΒ Michael Conde Β brought up how he liked that I'd designed different versions of Superman but at the same time sticking to my signature style. Here, I've plucked out a few of these to show y'all!

Your "visions of…" series about super-heroes is very nice! I love the old timey feel to the style - kinda reminds me of art in fifties adds and magazines. These characters have been around for a long time and the way these pics have been drawn seems to acknowledge that history.

I like the way you made all them different, but still faithful to your style.
Great work.

I really wish that people grow up and stop complaining about Man of Steel, the older Superman from the Donner times, is dead and buried, DC only did a tribute about it, but with a much more mature plot, without the childish, goofiness and the cheesiness of the old Superman, and it sells, at difference from the old one, hell, Man of Steel had 75% of the worldwide approval, so they whining wouldn't change nothing.

Is the top most left one Dean Cain, or is he the second from the the top right, or is he the bottom left one or the second one on the bottom left side?Β

So many Supermen, so many suits!

HAHHAAHAH! I just don't like the suit or the New 52 Superman. I'm a traditionalist. I do however like the Man of Steel oufit.

he finally lost the outer underwearΒ

the underwear thing was made popular by the association of circus and weight-lifting strongmen of the 19th century. Probably why a lot of early comic book heroes wore underwear outside their clothes. nowadays, the closest association to that would probably be athletes that wear underarmor or tight shorts, lol. sorry for randomly commenting, but the whole underwear thing has always baffled me as well.

DESPOP In reply to TNASucks [2014-01-23 01:43:37 +0000 UTC]

Dean Cain and Brandon Routh just don't inspire my vision of Superman I'm afraid. I did however love Cain's Clark Kent. He brought his own thing to that role.Β

What? Β  I love your art Mr. Despop. But as a Superman fan I have to say the 52 brought me back into comics. Before that, I was really not in the mood to pay my hard earned money to read stories about the Batgod and his dumb whipping boy sidekick, Supermediocreman.
