- Project: Grimoire Rose
I've had this drawn for about a week now, and I started coloring it, but haven't recently had time to finish it which makes me a little saddened. I don't know if it will be completed with color, but this is how it will be for now until I can find time to do otherwise.
The character is Scarlet. He is walking down a path in the forest which he abides in. It's a little on the windy side. Enjoy.
Done with mechanical pencil.

The lighting in the midground is kind of murky,the perspective doesn't work,its sort of disjointed.
And there is no contrast or variety in line quality which makes everything seem flat and on the same plane and weightless.You could try using darker stronger lines on stronger or weightier objects or points of tension (trees or weight on legs),while environmental perspective causes things in the distance to be less defined,so you should use softer or 'blurry' lines
