She is in the first throws of love. What a golden feeling.It's my little Sophie. She has met someone and is falling in love. It's a summer evening as she braids her hair, her heart is as warm as the sunset behind her.

I think I subconsciously borrowed the idea of hair framing a heart in one of my drawings... :/ I drew what I was feeling & then squinted at it and went "Wait... this looks familiar..." So I guess half of the credit goes to you, haha! I love your artwork but I promise it was not intentional.

xD This is beautiful,but a bit creepy since yesterday I fell in love (he likes me back!),my name is Sophie and I braided my hair yesterday and it was a hot day,almost like summer(it's not summer though..yet..) xD

This picture has helped me through a lot in the last couple of years. When I found your work, I was suffering from depression and suicidal thoughts. I thought life wasn't worth living and I didn't even want to try to make it through. I looked at your work and found a source of beauty that was missing from the rest of my life. This picture in particular spoke to me -- it told me a different story than the one intended. It told me that even though I didn't feel -- couldn't feel -- anything at all, even if my heart was missing and I couldn't find the love in the world, there were still colors and warmth and I could still smile and keep going, even if I didn't think it was worth it. I set this picture as the background to all my computers, I looked at it at every chance I got, and the tiny bit of confidence it gave me carried me through everything.
I'm better now. I made it through, and I beat the nothing. I now have a print of this picture hanging on my wall, right by my bed. I look at it as I fall asleep, and it helps to keep the nightmares away.
I just wanted to thank you so much for sharing your work and your story with the world. I felt so alone until I found your work and you started speaking of your experiences. I don't think I would have made it nearly as well as I did if I hadn't found you. You don't know me, and maybe I'm just some stranger on the internet, but to me, you are someone to be admired. You help so many people without knowing any of their faces, and that is what makes a real hero.

I can't help but think of the new Nightwish song 'My Walden' when looking at this art. This could be part of a bigger piece of work which depicts the world of the song. I just love staring at it and imagining the 'whole' picture. J'adore!
